Awwww, you babies!

Advantages: whitty and fun for all ages
Disadvantages: makes me broody

A Nickelodeon production which is fun for all ages. Rugrats is about a group of young children, their families and the adventures they have both imaginary and for real. The main characters are Tommy, his little brother Dill, his mom and dad Dee and Stu. Tommy's best friends are Chuckie Finster and twins Phill and Lil. This group of firm friends along with their families have lots of fun and laughter whilst being tormented by Tommy's bossy, spoilt ...

Violent or fun

Advantages: Terribly good fun
Disadvantages: Perhaps a little violent

I was sitting watching tv with my 3 year old and 6 year old this morning while they ate their breakfast (they seem to eat more when they're not concentrating on what they are doing!). I was quite pleased when the titles came up for Tom & Jerry, I haven't watched this in ages. My favourite episodes are the older, original ones. The 60's & 70's version is a bit too phsycadelic for me. The music is a bit too weird. Anyway, we were merrily watching ...
...programme is. Forget Pokemon or Biker Mice From Mars or any of the other modern helpings of cartoon. Tom & Jerry is the daddy of violent cartoons. Jerry is the little troublemaking mouse who normally starts the events to follow. He fools us into thinking he is a little helpless mouse when really he is more cunning and powerful than poor old Tom. He steals Toms milk or disturbs him when he is sleeping. This is then followed by a mad chase with Tom ...

I dissagree

Advantages: You can escape from reality and its fun to watch.
Disadvantages: Its strangely gripping and if you start watching you have to stay.

Mona the Vampire is a kids cartoon, it was originally shown in France, but then moved to the Uk, mainly on Cbbc. It's on at 15:25 on weekdays, and 15:00 weekends. It's about a girl called Mona Parker, who believes she is a vampire. She goes around with her friends Charlie Bones and Lily Ducan, otherwise known as Zapman and Princess Giant, and her cat Fang saving the world. It's usually something as normal as a blocked drain or a well trained parrot, ...
...I quite enjoy it. I mean, you can't admit you've never wanted to escape reality and make your own world up. It's no better, or worse, than any other spooky/horror cartoon for kids. They managed every time to either create or find out about a new monster, so the never repeat them without good reason. I fine the characters are excellent in the way that they all have strengths, and yet all have flaws as well, which is more than I can say for many of ...

Wonderful cartoon still going strong

Advantages: Wonderful animation, storylines, and no violence to speak of
Disadvantages: None

Childhood memories are the most precious things we have. For most of us, childhood is a magical time in life – no worries, no cares, just you and the big wide world as your oyster. I'm a big fan of nostalgia, remembering what was great when I was younger, and sharing it with others. Usually this is just confined to memory, but when things suddenly leap into the present, it's even better! The Racoons was a great eighties cartoon series, and ...
...I recall, it used to be on as part of one of the BBC's Saturday morning programmes. You can imagine my surprise when I turned on my TV recently to see it still going 10 years later! Nowadays, it's shown weekdays on BBC2 (sometimes – it varies), and it's the kind of show you can just turn on and settle down to watch with a nice hot drink and some chocolate, and slip back to your childhood. It's important to remember that it isn't one of these ...

From The Ashes

Advantages: Good cartoon series bought onto modern format
Disadvantages: Not the best episodes of this series

I have been a fan of the X-Men comics for years now and as a result of that I used to check out this cartoon series on a Saturday morning so It was nice to see this DVD released and at only a tenner I would’ve been a fool not to pick it up. Consisting of six series of the cartoon, The Phoenix Saga is a story lifted straight out of the comics (albeit changed slightly). It tells of Jean Grey being…possessed for want of a better word, ...
...greatly enhanced powers (Flight, Teleportation etc etc). With this new found power she is sent of (with the rest of the X-Men) to space in order to save the M’Kraan crystal. If she fails the universe is doomed! Featuring known X-Men characters asCyclops, Wolverine, Rogue etc it also introduces Banshee, Moira MacTaggert, Lilandra (of the Shi’ar, an alien race that are involved with the M’Kraan crystal) and the Starjammers (a team ...
