Incredibly Depressing Yet Somehow Still Entertaining.
Advantages: Good Characters. Some Good Storylines Disadvantages: Some Completely Crap storylines.
My Opinion This is a show that I love and hate all at the same time. I can find just as many bad things to say about it as I can good ones. I think that the bad points by far outweigh the good ones though. I avoid shows that are constantly negative because I believe what we see and do effects how we feel. This show is quite depressing at most parts and I think its the sort of thing that if you have had a brilliant day, you sit down and turn ... ...will more than likely soon fade. I also have been irritated by recent storyline's and how they have turned out. I especially disliked the story with Ronnie Mitchell and her daughter. I think that they dragged that storyline out way to much. They did it to a point were by the time it had got to the climax. I had thought it would at least eventually turn out good and become more interesting but it didn't. I don't know what they were thinking when they ...

Everybody needs good neighbours
Advantages: Famous actors, Australian setting Disadvantages: None
Everybody needs good Neighbours
One of my favourite Australian export shows is Neighbours and I have been a fan ever since I was a child, well over twenty years, as it first began airing in Australia in 1985 and in England in 1986! It is now shown on channel 5 in England.
The show revolves around Ramsay Street in the fictional Australia town of Erinsborough. Ramsay street is a cul-de-sac which enables the residents to pop into each other’s houses ... ...as nosy neighbours. Most of the residents are friends but of course you always get fights and scandal with people living that close to one another.
I think this show works because it shows a street where you would actually like to be a resident. It makes the street look like fun and that you would love to have friends who will do anything for you living all around you. Of course I think British audiences keep tuning in too because of all the lovely ...

holby
Advantages: its great Disadvantages: n/a
Being a huge Casualty Fan and in 1999 when they created a spinoff of the show, Holby City with a great cast the programme was obviously going to be great.
Holby City is based in Holby hospital where casualty have the A and E Department, Holby City is on two wings Darwin and Kellar and follow heart surgeons and general theatre.
The first series in 1999 has Michael French, Angela Griffin but to name a few. Anton Mayer was the arrogant consultant ... ...because of his great lines he was loved.
As the years progressed there were names like Jeremy Sheffield, Jeremy Edwards, Mark Moraghan, Lisa Faulkner and Art Malik.
In the current series almost 10 years on which it is still going on stars
Adrian Edmondson plays Abra
Tina Hobley plays Chrissie
Paul Bradley plays Elliott

"Is there a doctor in the house"........."nope!"
Advantages: I dont watch it anymore Disadvantages: the stories dont stand up anymore in my book
I am probably the wrong person to write a reveiw on a sopa opera, mainly because im not a fan of mind numbing daydream tv, but i will give my opinion anyway. I used to watch Casualty when i was younger when Jimmy(Robson Green) was the witty geordie porter and i must admit i was glued every week. The stories were hard hitting and extremely graphic. Maybe its just me getting older but this was when the patients were gurt they were really hurt...........but ... ...much time covering the doctors lives that the little part of the programme left fro the patients we end up with splintered fingers and bad coughs. I switched off when i realised this was the path for stories. My idea of a hospital drama is blood, death, injury, pain then a dedicated staff there to fix it, definatly not sex,affair............ ...

Round and Round the Garden
Advantages: atmospheric, genuinely scary, impressive Disadvantages: a bit slow at the start
Have you ever, I mean ever had the kind of experience that leaves you cold and plagued by recurring memories of what you have seen? Well I have, and I hope that they will come back soon!
Ten years ago, on October 31st 1992, the BBC screened what was to become one of it's most notorious programmes. It was screened as a special edition of it's 'Screen One' drama series, but the techniques involved, ground-breaking and innovative in their day, left ... ...what they had just witnessed was dramatisation or a very scary shared experience.
Nowadays we are used to programmes like '24' that give us real-time dramatisation, but 'Ghostwatch' was only a 90 minute play, but a 90 minute play which used actors and television presenters, which lent the air of realism, if you can call it that!
It was presented by Michael Parkinson, that doyen of investigative journalism, who was joined by Mike Smith in the studio. ...
