Since the Royle Family, hit the TV screen a while back ago, it has become a huge hit. Why?, cause for the first time you have a simple family, with working class background, lounging about moaning about the weather. It’s realistic and therefore not only appeals to most people, but its also humorous.
I, am not suggesting that every family, crowds in front of the TV, as we don’t, well not like that. But it happens. Jim, the father, who’s so embarrassing, sits on his sofa, farting, embarrassing his son, and makes rude remarks. It’s really good the way, when ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ they all shout out the answers, cause when its on, so do we. He’s a great actor, makes you laugh and plays his character really well.
In this series there’s a new edition into the Royle Family, Caroline Aherne who plays Denise gave birth to a little boy-David. I am sure Jim will have a lot to say about the breast-feeding, and crying. He’s been whinging about the baby, and it’s only been the first part, forget the new men routine here. They have won loads of awards, and I think they deserve them all. The cast are just ace, and they blend in brilliantly. Even Dave, who used to play Malcolm in the adverts, is really good.
They have all the embarrassing things that could happen, like when Jim’s son’s girlfriend comes over, and they question her to death. Yes, how embarrassing.

I think the real reason is that there is something in the Royles that everyone can relate to no-matter how stuck up they think they are ...Great show....robin
