An original format

Can be repetitive

What are the seven things you most hate in the world ? What are the seven things that irritate you, get under your skin, or just plain annoy you, well there's a place where you can go to rid yourself of these forever, Room 101. Paul Merton the popular entertainer, and comedian, best known for his...

Excellent

Great presenter, very fun, good concept

Occasionally poor guests

Room 101 is a really well thought out show with a hilarious presenter. Paul Merton really does put the spark into Have I Got News For You and he does it in his new series too. The idea is where the guests must talk about an item for around five minutes which they want abolished. If Paul Merton...

unique style of show

none

Room 101 is a chat show with a difference, instead of talking about things that the guest likes, they talk about the things that they don't like. They do this in an attempt to banish them to Room 101, a kind of mythical vault in the BBC or something?! The show has been around for a few years now...

“ROOM 101 LOST ITS CHARM”

See above.

Has the show ‘Room 101’ lost it’s charm? I don’t personally think so, but there is no arguing the facts that recently this comedy chat show has lost a large part of it’s audience. The style of this show is effectively that guests bring in different items, people, or...

I would just like to write a review of Room 101, a chat show of sorts that used to be shown on BBC2 although is quite often shown as repeats on Dave or suchlike on cable television. My reasoning for putting that it is a talk show of sorts is because of a very daft old man who was talking to some...

Room 101 has been drifting around on BBC2 now for several years. Originally presented by Nick Hancock, Paul Merton now introduces the half hour show, transmitted at different times of the week, after 9 p.m. The idea behind the show is very simple - each week a celebrity comes on with a list of...

Good

See celebrities and what they ‘really’...

That ghastly new theme tune has got to go....

Nick Hancock was the original presenter and as such was (and still is) abrasive in appearance BUT occasionally imbued with flashes of quick wit. Paul Merton, the incumbent host is suitably sarcastic BUT as to any guest who manages to say anything remotely funny on’HIGNFY’ can attest...

I must admit, this op has made me think rather more than some. There are so many ways to approach it. Do you go for the banal but witty, or perhaps look at things of a more serious nature? I thought about this a bit and have come to the conclusion that a mixture is probably best, so if some of...

The wit

The wit

The Eighties as an era will be best remembered for Thatcher, blind ambition, selfishness and greed. There was a distinct switch of emphasis as we entered the Nineties and the Handbag Harridan's powers waned. In a reaction to an uninterrupted decade of uncaring Thatcherism, the bitter old...

'Imagine you had the chance to get rid of some of your worst nightmares. What would they be?' The opening line from the show 'Room 101' immediately drives inspiration into even the most relaxed watcher. It's a very exciting thought, and one that has a lot of potential to make a good show...

“Place and Programme”

Get rid of stuff

Someone else might want it

Room 101 can be defined as one of two things: the place; the programme. The place may have been devised before the program, but I don't know. But what I do know is that Room 101 not only acts as an atomizer, but an eternal obliterator. By placing objects into Room 101, they are removed from every...

very funny!

there are none that I know of!

Room 101 takes to the screens after 9.00 p.m. at varying times during the week. The show is hosted by Paul Merton (used to be Nick Hancock) and is based loosely round a chat show. The basic idea of the show is that the guests are requested to think up some pet hates to take along to the show and...

A good concept - but like many 'chat show style' programmes relies heavily upon the guest, rather than what is actually banished down the chute. Maybe it would be nice to pick someone off the street for a more down to earth selection, all of which brings me to...... Cheesy Wotsits .... No matter...

Sometimes funny

Going down hill now, the same!

Roo 101 started off anew and original programme but now i think this to an extent has worn off.Hancock was a far better host than Merton, and i feel earlier guests were more original and funny. I have to admit i still watch the show but i'm not enthralled with it like i used to be. Take Anne...
