'THE WORST THING IN THE WORLD'

AdvantagesAn original format

DisadvantagesCan be repetitive

"What are the seven things you most hate in the world ? What are the seven things that irritate you, get under your skin, or just plain annoy you, well there's a place where you can go to rid yourself of these forever, Room 101. Paul Merton the popular entertainer, and comedian, best known for his role on 'Have I got News for You' in recent years, is the dungeon master to the cavern of earthly undelights known as room 101. Banish you pet hates to hell...

Advantagesunique style of show

Disadvantagesnone

"Room 101 is a chat show with a difference, instead of talking about things that the guest likes, they talk about the things that they don't like. They do this in an attempt to banish them to Room 101, a kind of mythical vault in the BBC or something?! The show has been around for a few years now and although it hasn't changed much over the years, it is still one of the best chat shows around, as they don't talk about midless rubbish, they talk about ..." Which celebrity goes in first?

AdvantagesSee text.

DisadvantagesSee text.

"I would just like to write a review of Room 101, a chat show of sorts that used to be shown on BBC2 although is quite often shown as repeats on Dave or suchlike on cable television. My reasoning for putting that it is a talk show of sorts is because of a very daft old man who was talking to some young duffer in my local library about this programme, who said that this show cannot be classed as a talk show as it does not follow the usual talk show ..." ROOM 101 LOST ITS CHARM

AdvantagesSee review.

DisadvantagesSee above.

"Has the show ‘Room 101’ lost it’s charm? I don’t personally think so, but there is no arguing the facts that recently this comedy chat show has lost a large part of it’s audience. The style of this show is effectively that guests bring in different items, people, or ideas which they detest, and then with a discussion with Paul Merton the host it is decided whether they should be doomed to the eponymous ‘Room ..." Send it back to where it came....

AdvantagesSee celebrities and what they ‘really’ think....

DisadvantagesThat ghastly new theme tune has got to go....

"Nick Hancock was the original presenter and as such was (and still is) abrasive in appearance BUT occasionally imbued with flashes of quick wit. Paul Merton, the incumbent host is suitably sarcastic BUT as to any guest who manages to say anything remotely funny on’HIGNFY’ can attest, he’s rather unreceptive....on his own though, he’s far more appreciative BUT he has a strange laugh (which is one reason, why he declines to ..."
