    Disadvantages Disadvantages News is repeated too often and can be intrusive .Becomes boring .

    BBC News 24 runs quite literally 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on freeview channel 80, in England. It can be viewed over the Internet via bbc.co.uk and on satellite channel 503, and cable on channel 601. BBC News 24 is also shown through the night on BBC one and two. BBC News 24 is a dedicated news channel which was launched, only on analogue cable television, on the 9th of November 1997 at 17:30.     Advantages Advantages Always available, widely available, informative, continually updated.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Too repetitive when watching for more than half an hour, scrolling red bar.

    BBC News 24 is simply a News channel. If you want the news, updated within minutes and all the top headlines as and when they happen - then News 24 is for you.     The thing about this world is the fact that most things are so unpredictable and they tend to happen out of the blue. No one knows what will happen from one day to the next, whether it is pleasant surprises or an act of absolute terror. Tuning in every day to news 24 is a breath of fresh air because what ever is happening in the world, they have a team all around the world that cover stories almost as soon as they happen.     Disadvantages Disadvantages News might not sound appealing to many people.

    To be the best you need to be ahead of the rest, and to do this you require the latest information before everybody else. This is BBC News 24’s main selling point, they are always there as the news is breaking and so their viewers have an advantage over their business rivals. Well being a student I don’t have many business rivals, and most students aren’t interested in the news, so why watch BBC News 24?
