When i was a young woman, i did tune into Radio 4 but life hasn't given me much chance to really enjoy radio features...crazy i know! Then, last year, whilst in Uni..yes even oldies like me return to school! :D I was required to listen to some documentaries that was in line with my study material, i became a fan once again! Sad to say, i've discontinued tuning in with one thing and another, but your lovely review of all thats good about this station, has inspired me to make the effort in listening in again, perhaps while i'm reading/rating such grand reviews as yours love :D xXx

David, a helpful rating is still a good rating! I am pleased to see you have read my review - note that i said programmes are an exception to this rule? Also it is BBC Parliament who is now providing the Audio, not Radio 4. You are right though, Radio 4 DID have PMQ's all to itself, but the audio is now coming from BBC Parliament. =)

Sorry not to be able to rate higher, but some of this is inaccurate. Desert Island Discs, for example, has music as a centrepiece and began in the 1940s, long before Ofcom existed. Similarly, PMQs have been on R4 for *many* years before the advent of BBC Parliament.
