BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC; Good, but with research could get a bett

Advantages: Plays most games.
Disadvantages: Can overheat a bit and blocks PCI slots

I have had this graphics card now for roughly two years. It has been able to run most games that have come out in those years on full settings, excluding very graphics hungry games like Crysis and Grid; but will still play them. The fact that it comes overclocked by BFG was a big selling point for me, as I knew if I tried to do it manually I would probably break it. However, there are some issues with this graphics card. The first fact is that it gets hot. Not ridiculously, but a lot of graphics cards at the same price have much better cooling systems. Number two is the installation of the card. It is very big, and therefore blocks up pci slots, so if you have lots of additional pci cards (for networking or for USB slots) you may be in trouble. With the £80 price tag I think you could easiley get better value for money if you look into ...

Over-clocking means that, to increase the clock rate higher than its specification to get better performance. In case of over-clocking enabled graphics card, XFX have a better reputation in market compare to ASUS, EVGA and BFG. Often the over-clocked graphics card known as Extreme edition, XXX edition or black edition. INTRODUCTION OF THE PRODUCT XFX GeForce 9800 GT is launched in international market for consumers around July 2008. BFG 7800 OC

Advantages: sLi ready, Speed is fantastic both memory bandwidth ad the number of vertices/sec
Disadvantages: Not well known, nVidia sometimes get shadowed by the other graphics company ATi, card is very long and may not fit onto specialised micro-ATX motherboards be careful of this before purchasing!!

BFG technologies are in my opinion one of the greatest manufacturers of graphics cards on the market the overclocked version however really push graphics performances to whole new levels. Especially if you sLi these cards (e.g. buy two of exactly the same cards connect them together using a special cable) and away you go. This leads to one of the greatest graphics engines on the planet. The 7800 OC version is actually a relatively new product produce by BFG check their website. It consists of the amazing new chip but get this, they have factory overclocked every single card, this means that they have squezed an extra 40 odd MHz out of the memory clock speed making it up to 1050MHz and an extra 25Mhz out of the core clock seed making it up to 425MHz. They all also come with a lifetime warranty from BFG. In my opinion always go for BFG ...
