BIC Lady shavers are available at just about every pharmacy, chemists, supermarket and shop that sells personal grooming goods. These particular lady shavers can be picked up for around:
5 packs - £0.95

20 packs - £2.65

The razors have no protective guard on them so nicks and cuts around the delicate areas (no rude thoughts here please) such as ankles and knees are not unusual. Although used carefully with a good shaving cream and this can easily be prevented. I have also just learnt that you are supposed to shave to the direction that the hair grows, ... more
It’s at the time of year again when I need to dig out the gardening shears and give them a real good sharpening. I’m going bush whacking!
I am actually growing a species of hair that is only found on the most remote of trees in the deepest depths of the Amazon. Right so you have just about got the jist of how disgustingly hairy my little legs are!
Sorry to put you all off out there, but it’s true, I have had to give my legs a shave and unfortunately my usual electric razor had run out of batteries, so after a quick search in the hidden backs of my bathroom cabinet and I dug out the pack of five BIC razors I had bought many moons ago.

They come in a wide variety of colours, the most unusual (yes right) being the bright orangey yellow colour, also the trade mark colour of the BIC pens! The razors come in a choice of five pastel colours, and sorry for saying this but a very feminine choice, there’s pink, and turquoise (my favourite), blue, green. But me being, boring old had no choice and opted for the vibrant orangey ones, with a white protector covering the blade.
The razor itself, this is made from solid plastic and has a hard plastic cover that clips over the blade, the blade protector cover is quite difficult to pull off, especially if you are in the shower. This can be a great disadvantage, so I would advise removing the cover before actually attempting to shave!
The slimline shape of this razor and the long length of the handle makes it easy to grip and actually manoeuvre around legs, arms etc. The one blade contained within the plastic casing of the razor, is fine at getting off any hair required, and doesn’t blunt that easily. Overall it completes the task in hand very adequately, and leave your legs feeling silky smooth, for a few days at least.
When using the razor, I didn’t experience any friction, I believe this is because the blades are coated with some kind of Teflon coating, it’s purpose purely to reduce friction
I personally throw he razor away after just the one shave, although if I am only doing under arms it will last for several attempts. BIC do not actually recommend that you dispose of the razors straight away
The razors have no protective guard on them so nicks and cuts around the delicate areas (no rude thoughts here please) such as ankles and knees are not unusual. Although used carefully with a good shaving cream and this can easily be prevented. I have also just learnt that you are supposed to shave to the direction that the hair grows, so that must have been what I was doing wrong all my teenage years! Lol
I would advise these razors for use on legs, and under arms, even perhaps arms if required. I personally don’t have a ladie’s moustache so cant give my opinion on them for that reason, but all I can say is that they do not cause any irritation and get the job done quickly and easily. They are relatively cheap and disposable, although I am not sure if they are biodegradable,
But be warned if you are thinking of shaving around you more delicate areas, I wouldn’t advise using this razor, you need added protection, I can guarantee that you really don’t want to be having one of those messy accidents do you????
p.s. I do actually shave more than once a year, lol
