No witty intro for this op I’m afraid, as I’m not feeling too well or that good-natured towards the product there isn’t a funny thing I can think of to say about them...so I’ll march onwards with the review...
*** Packaging ***
The razors come in an orange and green packet with ‘BIC’ written in black on the front and ‘Sensitive’ written in white underneath.
The razors themselves are also orange plastic with a white head.
The packet contains info in many languages: French, English, Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Dutch. The vital info that they repeat so many times is: - Designed specially for sensitive skin - Each razor provides an optimal and comfortable shave for approximately one week. - Easy Cleaning Blade. It also tells the nearest Bic headquarters for each country; in the UK, BIC UK Limited - Middx UB9 6NS.
Straightaway this throws up some queries such as when they say it provides a shave for one week, they do not specify how many times you might shave your legs in that one week. I do mine every other day, so clearly I would be using a razor more times than someone who might do theirs once a week. This is a point that the company could do with clarifying.
Other info it contains: - Made in France - www.bicworld.com (why would anybody want to visit ‘Bicworld’ - do they have giant dancing razors, or The Runaway HairTrain? I think not.
*** Using the product ***
The first time I used one of these razors I was in the bath. It did leave my legs smooth, but the next day I noticed a bit of a shaving rash so I didn’t shave my legs again for a couple of days.
So, the next time I shaved my legs I was in the shower. And I’ll admit that I was in a bit of a hurry. But nothing could have prepared me for the horror that was my legs when I stepped out of the shower. They had tingled a bit when I was shaving them, but I put this down to shaving them too quickly. In the time it took me to walk from the shower to my room, my legs had gone very red and sore and dry. I quickly put some body lotion on but this only irritated them even further. For the rest of the day I was in agony. My legs were bright red, sore, itchy and covered in tiny spots. Even my boyfriend was shocked at how sore they looked.
I thought maybe it was the particular razor I had used. So I left my legs for a week or so before daring to shave them again. It honestly took this long for them to heal up. I decided to try it again with a new razor from the packet. However from the first stroke there was the telltale tingle, so I didn’t dare try and do anymore. As it was, the one patch that I did shave went bright red.
*** Summary ***
Needless to say, I won’t be using these again. Fortunately, they were only cheap from Bodycare (about 59p) so I haven’t lost any money on them. I would actually like to write to the company to complain, but there isn’t actually a careline number or even a proper address to write to. The only address is the one that appears with the limited information one the back of the packet, and I don’t put much faith in getting a response if I wrote to that one.
These razors are supposedly for sensitive skin, but I would recommend that you steer well clear of them, even if your skin can take a good battering. I’ve since used the Wilkinson LadyTwin Blade razors and they’re fabulous!

I remember using these when I started shaving, it was like an episode from the texas chinsaw masacre. I quickly moved on to Gillette and I wouldn't change my Mach 3 now. Andy.
