These are the latest in shaving from Bic. Gone is the image of the cheap, white and orange mutilating sticks. These new razors boast a pivoting head with dual razors, not only this but also a vitamin E and aloe ‘unique lubricating strip’ to minimize skin irritation and to soften the skin.

Having just used one of these razors, a novelty as I usually shy away from razors as I end up looking like something from a horror movie, or requiring the assistance of several boxes of plasters. I prefer the safer, but not so close shave with an electric shaver, I am absolutely amazed by them. They are similar in shape to the white bics, with the orange blade guard, but boy do they remove hair faster and more effectively!

They are a reasonably nice two tone green colour (fits nicely with my bathroom décor) and have a rubberized grip on the sides of the handle, making holding it with soapy/foamy hands quite stable. The head has good movement, allowing it to flex nicely over knees and ankles and underarm with no cuts, nick or grazes/slices! The blade guard is simple to remove, just pull off to use the razor and snaps into place after use. I have on occasion sliced my fingers when trying to replace the safety guard – in particular the slide on ones, no such accident to be had with this razor, and after counting I still have all my fingers, toes and limbs firmly attached.

Whilst using the razor, I did find that I had to rinse it after every stroke as the lubricating strip appeared to go a bit like chewing gum, so I was doubtful as to its effectiveness in softening the skin afterwards. However the blades really glide up the leg so the lubrication strips do work in that sense. The blades removed every hair in one stroke up the leg, making them quick and effective and reducing the sore after effects of repeated shaving of the skin.

The after feel, if you like, is great, I have not one nick, cut or graze, no bits of toilet paper stuck to my legs and they feel... fabulous! (I can’t believe I am raving about a razor!) My legs really do feel silky smooth and soft, in fact I neglected my usual moisturizer which I usually have to apply to stop my legs feeling sore after shaving.

The razors come in blister packs of 10 for £3.49, which is a reasonable price considering the great job they do. For me it is an extra bargain as I do not need to stock up on plasters before shaving my legs!!

You tell it like it is...the loo roll stuck to your legs made me laugh (we've all been there!!). You have almost convinced me to buy these, in fact I will if I don't get on with my new lady shave (op pending!!!).

Your comment bit on here looks a bit lonely so thought I'd leave one - isn't the weather brill! Only kidding - good op, I use this - I doubt I'll move on to Venus though (it seems like the new one to use!)
