Waiting for the first hair on my chin were like waiting for my 18th birthday all these years, in John Prescott’s case, waiting for another doughnut!
The only thing was, I never seem to knew which day would be the day that I’d wake up to find my first her and take that big step in life to take hold of a razor and shave it off.
But that day came and went really soon as it’d take a while to grow back my proud little bum fluff. But continue shaving is what I did and my cute little bum fluff soon turned into the hard bristle that men of 30 envy.
Being the youngster like most I am, money isn’t a word he hear that often, as we never have it unless we steal for it (joke). An electric razor would have been out of the question so disposable razors there I came.
The French make Bic are no doubt the biggest brand of disposable razor there is and it’s only down to this reason that it had me taking it to the till and spending the last little money I had of £2.49. That’s the retail price so of course the price varies a little.
Now that’s pretty cheap including the fact that you get more a less 10 shaves for that price, but then does the cheap price reflect on the quality?
The most important thing about any type of shaver/razor is quality. Quality is essential is this product market as blades should be sharp, easy to handle and ease of use and should be able to remove hair smoothly, cleanly and of ease giving a sound result.
Although these razors are fairly flimsy and basic when it comes to design, you’d be surprised to know that the quality of the shave is much better than the design.
With the inclusion of Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, the shave’s much smoother and feels much closer to the skin. The blades are ok. They get much of the hair of but to tend to cut the skin fairly easily.
They have the two blades hence ‘twin’ below a layered strip of Aloe Vera and Vitamins to sooth and soften the skin automatically after shaving. The two-blade system gives a much closer shave as well as giving a better result. Though the blades do blunt easy but clogging of excess hair does slow down your shaving time, as you have to rinse of the shaver.
They are extremely easy to use with easy-gripstrips placed along the sides of the razors handle. These are also lightweight, flyweight and unlike Rick Waller’s weight! You can get to anywhere with them so girls watch out!
One thing we all know but don’t think about is that most of the price of a product is reflected on the cost of the packaging. These Bic razors come in a small plastic packet where as some maybe come in much thicker materials so this is another reason for Bic’s value for money.
All in all these Bic disposables are designed and made to be disposable. We use them and chuck them and they can only be used once. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had disposable MP’s and celebrities?
At the end of the day, they’re made to last no longer than maybe 5mins. Quality isn’t the highest priority with these; instead it’s ease of use they focus on. But still, they do this without forgetting about quality.
If you want quality then you pay much more your £2.49 down your local Tesco’s. They’re made for anyone, women, men, the young and the old and I can’t seem to fault these too much when the practicality of the products as good as it is with these.
