After my horrendous experience with the Bic sensitive razors, I thought it only right that I did a review of the new ones that I have, because in my opinion, these are fabulous. So, imagine my surprise when in preparation for this op I picked up the packet only to find that these were also Bic! And here I was under the impression that they were Wilkinson ones...well, well, well. You’ll just have to read on to see what I think of these ones...
*** Pretty in Pink (Packaging) ***
In complete opposition to the Sensitive Bic, Bic Twin Lady are in translucent pink packets (still plastic though!) with 5 razors to a packet. On the front it has the Bic trademark
in the manky, industrial yellow colour then ‘Twin Lady’ underneath in more swishy white writing. There’s a diagram to indicate that yes, Twin really does mean these have two blades. This evidently is in case you can’t read. But, I also think you’d need to have some skill in deciphering their pictures, because to me, there’s at least 3 blades on that picture! Again the words ‘sensitive skin’ adorn the front in several languages.
One of the problems I have with the Bic company is that there are no instructions whatsoever on their packets. Now I realise that it isn’t exactly difficult to shave your legs, but I can’t be the only person who struggles to take the protector off the razor?! Also, the amount of young girls I know who have tried to shave their legs only to cut them to shreds is unbelievable. Surely, if a company provides a product they should provide some basic instructions to go along with it. Ah well, moral rant against companies over...
As you might have guessed from the rant, there are no instructions on the packet. The following sentences are repeated in several languages: “For a smooth skin.” “Better Control.” “Removes hair safely in a relaxed and quick manner.” Eh? In a relaxed and quick manner? What planet are these people on? I’m beginning to guess its not an English company; this presumption is strengthened by the sentence ‘for a smooth skin’? Do you think they meant ‘shave’ or possibly ‘for smooth skin’? Whatever. My point is, apart from ‘www.bicworld.com’ (which don’t even get me started on), there’s nowt on the packet at all. Hmmm, so on this part Bic fails in my view. Most definitely.
Grammatical and packaging issues aside, these do exactly what sort of claim to, albeit in a Frenchified, not very clear way. They shave your legs. Your legs will be beautifully smooth afterwards with no tingle, and no dryness. Marvellous. Especially considering the corned beef hash they made of my legs with the bloody sensitive ones (see my ‘sensitive my arse’ op if you want the whole sorry story).
I’ve found that each razor lasts about a week, possibly more if you don’t shave your legs that often. They keep well enough in my toiletry bag along with all the other junk in their. So, no special treatment needed, that's always a plus.
So, what else can I say about these razors?? Nothing, apart from to reiterate that these shave well and last a long while. They don’t cut you to shreds and they don’t leave you with, dryness, blotches, stinginess etc. etc. So my question is, why do these work so well, but the sensitive ones were absolutely shocking? It could almost be a philosophical questions, almost but not quite...
*** Money Money Money ***
Once again, my bargaintastic Bodycare came up trumps. These cost me 89p and they’ve last me ages - one razor a week, so they’re definitely worth it. I’d imagine they’re sold everywhere you can think of (unless you try to be smart and think of random places).
*** In summary ***
Very good - close shave, cheap, last ages Very bad - crap packaging yet again! no instructions or careline or address, just a website.
To be honest, unless you are very young, in which case you shouldn’t be shaving your legs, or you’ve never shaved them before, then you don’t really need any instructions. But it would be nice. Bic - take heed!

Glad you had a better experience with these than with the sensitive skin ones! Love, Corinne.

Sounds great, but I think I will give these a miss, LOL!Martyn! :-)
Advantages: Different color hues, so I know if I have used before. Light weight, easily disposable. Disadvantages: Would prefer a larger package, for at least one month.
