This vac works very good, and it glides nicely as well. The accessories are the best I have found on a vac which makes this the best vac I have owned. It is also easy to empty the receptacle container, no more bags or disposable bags. It is built pretty rugged too.
On the downside, it is a bit heavy so you will definitely want to be able to wheel it to wherever you want to use it. I wouldnt recommend this for commercial use, but it would hold its own against any of the commercial vacs I have used (its just a little heavy to lug around).
I also wish there was a way to make the dust bucket a little bigger, but if I didnt have a shedding pet, it wouldnt be an issue. On that note, if you have a pet that sheds, I would recommend the "pet" version of this vac- which I didnt know about when I bought this one.
Overall, I would recommend this vac to anyone (or the Lift-off Revolution Pet Model for those with pets). This does an excellent job of vacuuming and with the lift-off canister and accessories, I dont see why anyone would by anything else. Even with the few negatives I have found, the fact that it works so great and Bissell considered my issues when they made other models, earns it 5 stars from me.

Quick review of BISSELL Lift-Off Bagless
This is not my favorite vacuum. I use only bissell and usually I dont have any problems. This one however has not been the best. The belt broke within 3 weeks and was diffucult to get the new one on. Pet hair gets tangled in the brushes and they stop working. I have to take it apart and unclogg it quite frequently. On the positive side I do like the suction and it is easy to empty and clean. I like the bagless style much better. I also like the fact that you can take it apart and use it like a canister vac on the stairs. I would rate it a 6 out of 10. I defenatly would not purchase this vacuum again. ...

The Bissell Lift Off is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have owned. It has seven different height adjustments which means it can be used on different types of flooring from carpet (long and short pile) to real wood or laminate flooring, this can easily be adjusted using the dial at the front of the vacuum. It is very easy to operate if not a little heavy, this is made up for with the range of attachments such as extendable pipe, furniture brush ... ...reached. In my opinion the Bissell is much easier to empty than a Dyson a sliding lever on the front of the vacuum is pushed to the side to release the container so that it can be emptied, this container is clear so you can see when empting is needed, you then replace the container and slide the lever back to lock it into place. The detachable body was the main factor why I went for the Bissell over the Dyson, a release button on the top of the middle ...
