I got the Bissell Quick Wash after spotting it in Tesco for a measly 70 quid. We have been planning to clean our carpets for some time. Bringing up 3 youngsters I shudder to think what lurks under my Shag Pile. So an impulse buy really, the idea being that hiring a cleaner wouldn't be very satisfying if that tummy bug comes back or my youngest fails his potty training test. I was quite impressed by how well it locked together with the minimum of assembly required. A Phillips screwdriver and three screws and you are there. The unit comes with a goodly supply of cleaning fluid, four bottles of carpet shampoo and two bottles of hard floor cleaner. Bissell Proheat Takes the strain and the stain!

Advantages: Works very well on your floors
Disadvantages: None noticed

with commonsense instructions on how to get the best out of your machine and from your carpets, too! There are a number of features on the machine that prove to be very useful additions. The DirtLifter PowerBrush, for example, does exactly what it says. The instruction booklet says that it is designed specially to lift out "deep down dirt" whilst at the same time "gently grooming carpet fibres." It works! Stretches of fitted carpet that looked very much the worse for wear (the cleaner had hidden them by moving large items of furniture and hiding the dirt!) looked like new. You fill the machine with water from your hot tap (so that it is not too hot) with the Bissell cleaning liquid and the machine then heats the mixture up to the required temperature.
