Having owned a few vehicles in my life, I Purchased my firs Bmw. Yes a Pre-owned 2004 Bmw 318 M sport.

The through search and rescue mission to find a relatively priced, Second hand vehicle , that still has the “one in a Million look” to it , came to be Very Successful.

This is my First review, so Comments keep them honest and kind, also advise where I can improve to write better reviews in the future.

Basic facts on the Vehicle.
Year : 2004
Model : BMW
Engine capacity : 318 (2.0/ 105 kw/ 200nm torque)
Gearbox : 5 speed Manual
Interior : cream leather sport seats, with a 3 spoke sport(“M”) steering wheel
Cd front loader (standard BMW business radio , with a 6 CD charger shuttle)

Exterior : Full on M-Sport front spoiler, side skirts and Rear spoiler, 17” alloy M-sport wheels, Sunroof , front and back fog lights
Tyre size : 225/45/R17 Z front and back.
Purchase Price : 99000.00 (ZAR ) (south African rand)

Test driving the vehicle at first obviously was great as it was a new car for me in a long time, and a Childhood dream to own a BMW.
Having a friend along who is Driving his 4th BMW also helped as he knows a bit more about the cars as I do.

Viewing the vehicle was great, it was a VERY well looked after car, with all details , original and no Additional accessories added.

I now have the car for just over 2 weeks and drives regularly, to determine Faults etc, but to date none was picked up.

The car’s road handling is Absolutely superb , solid an firm, with a “heavy” feel to the Steering as uou would expect from BMW. Focusing a lot on road handling. The steering is tight and firm, so that you have the Exact feel of how much you are turning, going into a corner , at low or high speeds.
The rear end of the car is Unbelievably stable ,as BMW puts in a lot of effort on the suspension, especially because BMW are all rear wheel driven, they Understand the importance of the rear-end being stable.

Driving pleasure is very satisfying when it comes to Performance, a friend and myself took the car for a drive, and reached 215 Km/h(had to brake to make the off-ramp), with fuel consumption at 7.8l/100km.
Urban traffic pushes the consumption up a bit , around 9.2-10 l/100km. however it depends on traffic load. However on the open road you can expect a 7.8 easily.

Comfort wise, as a young gentleman , comfort is great, BMW sport seats all around that Hugs nicely and are very Comfortable, the Dashboard , speedometer dials looks Great ,and the Black break Cream dash looks , just makes you want to smile every time you have a look around the inside.

Sound system Obviously provided by long term BMW partner HARMAN CARDON is Great 4 Full speakers and 2 tweet speakers in Front, really boosts the Sound from the radio and with the Sunroof open all is well and feels good.

A bit on the down side : this is a M-sport edition, so generally your foot would be a bit heavier than normal as the sport sound to the motor makes you want to push it Harder which can make a realistic difference to your fuel Consumption. The Car also has a sport suspension, which makes it that bit harder on the road when you go over a bump. But the up side to this is the brilliant road handling at higher speed.

Tyres obviously are Bigger, and bigger is money out the pocket, when they are done.

With all the above said, a brilliant machine.
