I have now owned my 320D SE 05 plate BMW for just over 2 years and I must say i am very very happy, I do apporx 35,000 miles per year and the drive, comfort, fuel efficency and build quality are second to none, the style is very attractive and differs from the old 3 series dramatically. I get approx 48 mile per gallon which for this type of car is very impressive. I know BMW are now working on the revamped diesel engine which gives even more fuel efficency and even better miles per gallon, there is also an advantage with the new engine on CO2 levels for company drivers as this is set to be around 131 which based on the current model would save a typical 22% tax payer a good amount of money.

Review of BMW 320d
Advantages: Diesel the most fuel efficient, best torque of the range, same motor as BMW 320d - so a QUIET diesel Disadvantages: Diesel may appear more expensive at the pump in the UK, dealer support is shoddy, maintenance costs high, still a british car with the usual quirks
