We bought our first BMW back in 2000 which was a 318Ci Coupe which we fell in love with the second we saw it. After having our first baby and then quickly falling pregnant with our second we decided to change the car for something a bit more practical so we bought a brand new 316i se tourer which was a lovely car and we got some sporty wheels and aluminium trim added to make it a bit better but unfortunately it wasn't the same as our coupe. We just didn't get the buzz of driving that you do with a sporty little number so again I decided we had to change, I didn't want to be practical anymore and I went back to BMW on my own and as a surprise for my husbands birthday I bought him a 325Ci Coupe back in Jan 2004. It is silver with black cloth material and I immediately fell in love with it. Now the downside to this car is that it only does about 25 miles to the gallon which isn't that bad unless you drive how the car wants to be driven (very quickly) then it would be less than 20, but thanks to the many speed cameras around now a days we get more for out money. Now BMW's I think are the best made cars around and we recently found out about their aftercare service is also excellent when we had a puncture and they promptly came to our rescue when we was away for a family wedding about 3 hours from our house and sorted the problem with no charge even though the car is out of warranty. I would therefore recommend this car and BMW as a whole completely.
Advantages: powerful, good build quality, reliable Disadvantages: thirsty. expensive servicing
Having been looking for a bmw coupe for several months and test driving various models i bought a 325 the car drives superb as well as looking great. It has all the buttons and gadgets you could possibly need.
having test driven the 316, 318, and 320 there was just no comparisson between them the 325 just blows them out of the water the cars appear to be flawless and if well looked after i have been informed can easily reach 200000 miles so dont be put off by high milage cars. My car has done just shy of 100000 but i had a drive in one that had done 47000 and even with the mileage i couldnt tell the difference.
as with everything there has to be a couple of downfalls. they are thirsty dont believe what the book tells you there is no chance of you getting 40mpg out of one of these closer to 30 if you drive sensibly also ...

Advantages: FAST PICK UP, SUPER COMFY, JOY TO DRIVE Disadvantages: TOO GOOD!!!!!
As with all BMW's, this one is an absolutely amazing treat to drive. Looking at it from the outside makes you want to jump in and take it for a drive... once you get in to the drivers seat the shere comfort of it makes you feel as if you are in a world of your own. You turn the engine on and it purs, no signs of a skipped beat or anything. You put the car in to first gear (or drive) and the car jets off. There is so much power behind this vehicle. The pick up speeds are so quick, 0-30mph in 3 seconds - easy!! Even when you are travelling at 70mph on the motorway you can hardly hear a thing from the outside. If you were to make a hands free call to a loved one whilst you were driving on the motorway they would think that you are talking from your bed (so I've been told) - its really that quiet! The sound system in the car is next to none ...

Advantages: Fast, Safe, Practical, Well built Disadvantages: Fuel Economy, Servicing costs, Worry!
This is a fantastic car. I am a huge fan of german cars anyway, but this is one of their best. I own a BMW325ci 03 plate on around 50k. It has the 2.5 straight 6 cylinder engine, and has the "M-sport" exterior package, which in my opinion, makes the car particularly the 18" alloys. Its surprising how few cars have this exterior package option, and it really makes the car stand out from all the (unfortunately) other 3 series BMW's out there.
The car itself is fantastic. The engine pulls hard, and the automatic "steptronic" box is very, very smooth. Clicking the gear stick to the left and putting it in sport mode really livens the car up too, holding the revs longer for example. The suspension and chassis are perfect in my opinion, blending composed and rapid cornering with a plush ride. Minus fuel economy, the car behaves brilliantly ...
