This is a fantastic car. I am a huge fan of german cars anyway, but this is one of their best. I own a BMW 325ci 03 plate on around 50k. It has the 2.5 straight 6 cylinder engine, and has the "M-sport" exterior package, which in my opinion, makes the car particularly the 18" alloys. Its surprising how few cars have this exterior package option, and it really makes the car stand out from all the (unfortunately) other 3 series BMW's out there.
The car itself is fantastic. The engine pulls hard, and the automatic "steptronic" box is very, very smooth. Clicking the gear stick to the left and putting it in sport mode really livens the car up too, holding the revs longer for example. The suspension and chassis are perfect in my opinion, blending composed and rapid cornering with a plush ride. Minus fuel economy, the car behaves brilliantly around town and anywhere you want it. It combines power, comfort and surprising practicality for what it is; the boot space is massive considering (the only draw back being that its a coupé so that you are limited to the shape of items being placed in the boot as with any coupés.
Comfort is high, mine came with black leather interior with full electric front seats including heating and back support, with the ability to store your chosen seat position. Therefore if the seat is adjusted in the mean time you only have to press a button and the seat will return to that setting for you. There is plenty of space considering the rear-wheel-drive configuration, with two sitting in the back in what I regard high comfort. The person unlucky enough to be in the middle will be less comfortable but there are far worse places to sit. It feels very safe and secure on the move, with two very solid feeling doors opening into a very luxurious looking interior. Also in the package is a 6CD changer complimented by BMW's fantastic stereo system. The only draw back being to change CD's you have to change them in the boot. Also included was the sat-nav package which also works great. It needs updating every so often though.
Living with it has been brilliant too. The only negatives are obviously the engine is thirsty around town and for urban use. Infact just generally; but treat it to a long run and you'll be quite surprised at the economy. However as per the recommendation I fill her up with super unleaded which can mean the wallet takes a beating come fill up time. Servicing and spares also arent cheap but taking on a car like this in my opinion is something you have to be prepared for. You'll find yourself parking in spaces further away and avoiding multi storey carparks! (because the car sits low but it is still do-able)
All in all, if you want to buy a fast, visually stunning and amazing to drive car, you could do far worse than a BMW 325ci. Add in the fact that its practical (to convince the mrs, thats if she wasnt convinced by the looks!) and its a car that surprises in many ways and is always enjoyable to drive.

Advantages: Fair price, electric roof, leather interior, CD player and, of course 'blindingly rapid'. Disadvantages: Quite expensive parts, can tend to guzzle petrol depending on the speed.
