Advantages: Comfortable, beautiful to drive, nice car. Disadvantages: Turbo in pre July 2003 Model generally goes which can wreck the whole engine.
I have a 2002 BMW 320D. The Turbo has gone and its going to cost ?4,600 to fix! BMW refuse to accept that the is a problem with the pre July 2003 320d Model. In my opinion, a lovely car, but a shame that BMW will not show any good will on an issue which is all over the Internet.I have asked BMW to try and do something for me but got a blank refusal. I intend to contact Norbert Reithofer about the issue, and also to the BMW Heiress, Susanne Klatten, as the cost of repair in the current Economic Climate renders the car useless to me. I cannotafford the repair costs, so I have a car in perfect condition, in showroom condition, but useless to me as the Turbo, and Catalytic converter is gone. It also has a full sercice history!

Advantages: Handling and Build Quality Disadvantages: None
The BMW 318 is a lovely car to drive, I have only had mine for six months and I can only say that it is the best car I have driven. The handling is excellent and the traction control system ensures that the full power is always delivered rather than being wasted on wheel spin. The cars build is like no other, it must be one of the most solidly built cars around. Before purchasing this vehile I was considering the Audi A4, but after test drives I was sure the BMW was the car for me due to its handling capability. Also the ride comfort is very good and the controls and instrumentation panel is well laid out. Overall an excellent car that I would recommend to anyone. ...

Advantages: Fair price, electric roof, leather interior, CD player and, of course 'blindingly rapid'. Disadvantages: Quite expensive parts, can tend to guzzle petrol depending on the speed.
Two years ago my brother was serching for a car which had class, good looks, gave a good performance, a soft-top and space for his golf clubs. He found a mattalic purple BMW 325i convertable which gave him everything above. The only thing it didn't give him was the good performance - instead it's performance was excellent.
The soft-top folded back itself - what would you expect? The car came with black leather interior, a CD player, alloy wheels, a standard BMW alarm system and lots more.
Insurance can obviously be high for a quality motor as with the BMW 325i. If anyone was going to buy this car my advice to them would be that:
*BMW parts can be expensive, although replica parts are available at a fraction of the cost.
*It may be necessary to buy a wind-breaker, (which breaks the sometimes violent wind when the roof is down ...
