The car being reviewed here is the 2011 BMW 335 "is". This car is a little bit like monopoly, there' a version for everyone. You can get the sedan, coupe, convertible, estate ( or station wagon ) or hi performance M3. The 335is is new to the lineup for 2011. I noticed it has been updated with new styling's , there's things like revised headlights with white strips on the top. New bumpers and uniform red taillights. The "is" part of that get's you a few more changes in addition, theres a jet black kidney grill, more aggressive bodywork, and unique 18 inch wheels. The bumpers have the same sort of deep set appearance as on the bumpers of the M3...there's a larger centre portion. Surprisingly no upper side fog lights, which BMW have said is to provide better cooling for the engine. For the engine for 2011, the 335is gets a new twin scroll single turbo charger for its 6 cylinder engine., which adds more boost and better cooling. The result is 320 hp and 332 lb/ft of torque versus 300 of each in last years 2010 6 cylinder...this manual coupe hits 60 mph in just 5.1s BMW says..the gear stick is nice short and has better connected throws than the last 3 series 6 speed BM I drove...And if you open up this car at low rpm...the engine goes into temporary overboost mode deliverIing 370 lb/ft of torque..real nice if like me, you like sliding out the tail at every corner. The steering is a little bit heavy at slow speeds, and takes some effort to turn, but rewards you with excellent precision and good feedback if you point this car in any new direction and voom off it goes. You don't have to sacrifice alot in ride comfort. My car had sport suspension, which is stiffer than the suspension in the regular 3 series, which was pretty comfy and doesn't beat your body up too much. The boot has about 11 cubic ft of space..definitely enough to throw a few golf bags in here, which was pretty impresive. However the age old question seems to be is the BMW worth the extra money. Well judging by the sales number alot of people have said yes...I agree with the masses
