Advantages: >40 mpg; very responsive engine; brilliant handling Disadvantages: Only problem I had is with Bluetooth compatability (05 model)
To me, the decision to buy a 330Cd was something of a compromise: At the time, I was doing 30,000 miles a year and wanted a car that would be fuel-efficient and reliable - but sporty. In the 330, I managed to meet those objectives: averaging better than 40 mpg but when you want to overtake, put your put down and it really moves!
Of course, you get the BMW build quality, solid and reliable. I bought it from a dealer - a year old 05 plate with low mileage. It now has 70,000 miles on the clock and continues to delight. Mine has SatNav (not an required option but now an essential); Bluetooth phone (variable compatability with different phones); a/c; leather seats etc.
Great car - would buy one again. ...

Advantages: Fair price, electric roof, leather interior, CD player and, of course 'blindingly rapid'. Disadvantages: Quite expensive parts, can tend to guzzle petrol depending on the speed.
Two years ago my brother was serching for a car which had class, good looks, gave a good performance, a soft-top and space for his golf clubs. He found a mattalic purple BMW 325i convertable which gave him everything above. The only thing it didn't give him was the good performance - instead it's performance was excellent.
The soft-top folded back itself - what would you expect? The car came with black leather interior, a CD player, alloy wheels, a standard BMW alarm system and lots more.
Insurance can obviously be high for a quality motor as with the BMW 325i. If anyone was going to buy this car my advice to them would be that:
*BMW parts can be expensive, although replica parts are available at a fraction of the cost.
*It may be necessary to buy a wind-breaker, (which breaks the sometimes violent wind when the roof is down ...

Advantages: Its a BMW...need I say more. Disadvantages: A top of range model WILL cost you...but hey its only money.!
I own the auto box version E46 2005, its very very smooth in gearchange.Steptronic mode is also sweet during gearchange and the process suprisingly quick. The engine is awesome, quality excells from every aspect of the vehicle. Its returning a combined 39mpg, BUT thats me driving as I like to (sensible around town and right boot fully down on the motorway !)
Drive carefully on long runs (70mph using cruise) and it'll return near on 50mpg.!
This is truely an awesome example of German engineering at Its best...Its fully loaded with kit, simple but effective dashboard, no nasty suprises if your a little too keen with the gas as the DSC takes control.!
Go for the ' M sport Steptronic auto ' like mine, their a class above any simular priced vehicle.
10/10...well done BMW ...
