BMW Turbo Failure

Advantages: Comfortable, beautiful to drive, nice car.
Disadvantages: Turbo in pre July 2003 Model generally goes which can wreck the whole engine.

I have a 2002 BMW 320D. The Turbo has gone and its going to cost €4,600 to fix! BMW refuse to accept that the is a problem with the pre July 2003 320d Model. In my opinion, a lovely car, but a shame that BMW will not show any good will on an issue which is all over the Internet.I have asked BMW to try and do something for me but got a blank refusal. I intend to contact Norbert Reithofer about the issue, and also to the BMW Heiress, Susanne Klatten, ...

Fabulous Classic Car, (when it first came out)

Advantages: Looks, reliable
Disadvantages: cost of servicing, looks slightly aged

First off i want to just make clear that when i bought this car back in 2000, it was a brand new car so any mdel that you my purchase now may not have the reliablility as a new car. However that said it is a brilliant car, I have driven about 40+ cars and owned a about 12+ sports cars among others. But my favourite remains to be the 3 series both the coupe and the saloon are a pleasure to drive with an exciting ride and reliablility. What i do have ...
...yellow emu (engine management unit) tends to display a fault which cost me around 1,500 w/servicing. Other than that it was a fantastic car which i loved and was a real head turner, proberly less so now. The advantage of buying one now is that you can get a cracking car at a cracking price with convertibles starting at aroun £6-7k. ...

Brilliant Marvellous Wonderful

Advantages: Great to drive, spacious, safe, reliable
Disadvantages: No rear windscreen wiper, small glove compartment

...We have a 07 plate BMW 320i SE automatic in Montego blue. The 20 means it has a 2 litre engine, and the i means it is petrol rather than diesel. Getting this car was not my choice, I wanted a Ford Mondeo but my husband wanted this car and after much pestering I relented. Not that I have any complaints, it is a great car. Why did we choose it? The BMW 3 series is a highly rated car and had won lots of best buy awards and 5 star ratings for motoring ...
...class. Top Gear gave it 5 stars, so did Whatcar? where it is a best buy both new and used (and was their car of the year in 2006). Which? gave it 4 stars and a best buy award. All these people can't be wrong and the fact it is so highly regarded helped in the decision making process. We also considered the Mazda 6 but I found the seats to be too hard but otherwise we liked it, the Mercedes C class but it felt like a boat to drive and was as unresponsive ...

You'll be driving to the post office next door!

Advantages: Looks great, good spec, low depreciation (like all 3 series)
Disadvantages: Still quite costly - not the cheapest to insure if your a bit younger.

...330 etc. those chaps at BMW are very clever.) The 318 is a smaller engine (1.8 - 1.955 dependant on year) but it is a fantastic car. Im not going to talk about Spec and bhp and stuff like that, because the technical jargon is readily available on a number of sites - so Im going to talk about what they're like from a drivers perspective. They're quality - from the few I test drove, to the one I bought! Absolutely a dream to drive, with the extra ...
...Beautiful, fast, classy, head turning, Ipod compatible, low depreciation, not too common. Fantastic drive. Downsides? Still a bit costly (not far off from a young TT), insurance can be costly, BMW SH arent the cheapest!, not the most economical of cars. N.B. You only live once!! ...

BMW 325 ci coupe (2000-X)

Advantages: powerful, good build quality, reliable
Disadvantages: thirsty. expensive servicing

Having been looking for a bmw coupe for several months and test driving various models i bought a 325 the car drives superb as well as looking great. It has all the buttons and gadgets you could possibly need. having test driven the 316, 318, and 320 there was just no comparisson between them the 325 just blows them out of the water the cars appear to be flawless and if well looked after i have been informed can easily reach 200000 miles so dont ...
...done just shy of 100000 but i had a drive in one that had done 47000 and even with the mileage i couldnt tell the difference. as with everything there has to be a couple of downfalls. they are thirsty dont believe what the book tells you there is no chance of you getting 40mpg out of one of these closer to 30 if you drive sensibly also the servicing is quite expensive compared to lesser cars but its to be expected with a car that would have cost ...
