Very nice but not for today's world! Without doubt, if you want a car which encompasses luxury, speed, style and quality then this is the car for you. Of course, it is well built, it's a BMW, full of luxury and certainly in black is an eye-turner. Reliable too and requiring servicing relatively infrequently. But, the fuel itself costs a small fortune. With the present petrol prices it's just too much. £80 of fuel gives you about 400 miles and that's if you drive it sensibly. Start 'exercising' it a bit more and you are looking at just over 10mpg. It's quick but because the car is so heavy don't be fooled into thinking it's only a step down from an M5 because it's not! If you like driving as opposed from getting from A to B then find yourself a rarer manual version. The step-tronic box is good but nowhere near as fast at changing as newer cars and is not ideal for the proper driver as it is a little unpredictable. That said the Sport-setting is a lot of fun and there is a Manual Override which is pretty good but lacks the aid of a manual clutch obviously. All that said, you can pick up a real bargain because of this and if you don't mind paying out on the fuel, it's a car worth having.
