    Advantages Advantages Fantastic luxury transport

Disadvantages Disadvantages can be expensive to repair and chews tyres

I took delivery of my 728i new in August 1998. I specified the full coms kit which includes SatNav, TV, Trafficmaster and fully integrated GSM phone. I have been very happy with the car which is the best I have ever had. It is reasonably quick even though the 2.8 engine is the smallest option but more importantly, it wafts you along motorway journeys in complete, restful comfort so that you step out at the destination still fresh. Despite the luxury feel to the car it is also suprisingly good fun to drive and can handle country lanes like a good 'un. Fuel economy is not bad for the size of car ... more

I currently own a 1999(facelift) Bmw 728ise which has to date covered over 210k miles(full history, mainy by Bmw).It is in biarritz blue with soft sand beige leather.I got my car about 15 months ago(my 9th one since 1995)and i totally love it to bits. This one is very special and by far the best 7 i have owned. To start of it is has had only 1 owner prior to myself and has been looked after extremely well, and that has continued throughout my ownership.the previous owner(god bless him) really specd the car to a very high level.to start with it has the full communication pack with sat nav,tv,rain ... more

Advantages Advantages It gives you everything you want in 1 car. Powerful and responsive feedback and smooth luxury

Disadvantages Disadvantages Dealer prices - suspension costs. Buy the best you can afford.

My first few E30's made me realise what driving what was about, and made me realise that BMW was for me. I had an affair with E34's, E36's, and as I have grown up, so has my taste. I bought an E39 530i Champagne Edition and loved it, but then wanted to take a bite of the E38. My 728i Sport had me confused as to whether it was an individual or not, due to it's unusual options. The colour coded dash and piped buffalo hide made me want this car. I don't know what the handling is like on the standard 728, but with the M-tech suspension, you can drive this car as you would a 3-series. Around ... more

Advantages Advantages Has everything you would expect and can come with everything you would need in a luxury car.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Have been some manufacturers problem to do with engine - also buy from BMW dealer to acquire warranty

My father decided to buy a 7 series, after spending around 3 months deciding whether or not to book a new 3 series coupe. I could say that the 7 series is more luxourious than it first seems, and with only a 2.8 litre engine delivers performance that will make you smile. In admist of the S-Class, the 7 series is cheap and has that limosiune ambience about it, with a strong body and classy look. The 7 series 2.8 litre, is actually quite a performer and it makes you wonder why you need more powerful a car. It has leather, can be fitted with a tv, mobile phone, navigation system - all the extras ... more

5 Stars Quick review of BMW 728i by shooter16 07/01/2009
My 728i is now 13 years old and still drives like new,Have just come up to 100k miles and serviced every 6000 miles ( my choice ) Bodywork is excellent and the drive is fantastic, comfortable and smooth.Running costs are ok considering that this is a luxury car and averages 25mpg, more on cruise control.Resale at this age is not worth considering and the car is good for another 100k.Would be extremely hard to replace without spending a lot of money.Hats off to BMW.
