Managed to do a deal on my 330ci Convertable for what I can only describe as a volcano on wheels...the 4.6is with its 350 BHP and masses of torque will give you whip lash when you accelerate hard, will stop on a sixpence and also behave like a kitten, never have i experienced such extremes in a car. It has got every toy you can imagine, sat nav, TV, bluetooth, DVD, etc etc etc.

I thought the insurance costs would be high but not too bad 550.00 fully comp with full no claims, not bad concidering it cost 68k when new (i bought it second hand not won the lottery yet) Though just heard on the news £ 400.00 road tax,,,owch.

Plus points - feeling safe, stylish, powerful, build quality, gadgets.

Minus points - You need a fuel tanker behind you, it costs £ 90.00 to fill the tank form empty, the sat nav voice tends to repeat things and gets on your nerves a bit, and thats about it, i cant think of anything else, oops nearly forgot, its not very enviromentally friendly.

It is typical BMW - the best of engineering - very high quality, the interior is as you would expect full leather with the heated seats and electric adjustment, very comfortable driving possition both me (6'3") and my wife (5'4") find it great. Also plenty of room in the back and the boot is cavernous.

Just returned from a 450 mile round trip and it never missed a beat, and the fuel computer states that the average consumption was 24.7 mpg, now that is fairly good considering the size of the thing and its V8 engine.

Overall I think we will keep this for a while not the usual 12-18 months we usually keep cars. This is a bit different. However I might by myself something small and convertable for the summer, wathc this space.
