...The Orbit PTVDVD768S 3 IN 1 portable DVD player is the perfect compainion for a long journey. It lets you play movies, listen to music and even picks up TV! There are now many portable DVD players around, but not many as good as this. It comes with a carry case that doubles up as a support to attatch to the head rests in your car along with a power adapter for the cigerrette lighter socket. If you have kids you can keep them entertained with this little box of pleasures. Put on their favorite DVD or let them play their own music so you dont have to hear! ...? However, the good news is that the manual (and quick connection guide) is clear and there's not much you won't be able to work out with a bit of trial and error. Tuning channels in couldn't be much easier as its all automatic - although you may need to re-arrange the channels as you won't necessarily get BBC1 in position 01 and so on. Before you can do anything else you need to follow the "first time setup" instructions this will set the time and date and also give you the opportunity to format your disc (more on that later) That's it... WHAT DOES IT DO? Not surprisingly, it plays DVD's and CD's. It also plays CD's and DVD's with MP3 audio files on - with a snazzy little navigator screen which tells you the track title and artist name. ...This is a very nifty device which allows you to play your ipod (& other MP3 players) wirelessly through your car stereo. It is very easy to set up, just plug in your MP3 player into the cradle (it has an ipod connection built into it) then plug the whole thing into your car cigar lighter socket. You then need to find any frequency on your car stereo that has no station tuned into, and put the same frequency on the transmitter & now your music is "tuned in" to your car stereo and plays crystal clear! It is a very versatile device, and comes with additional holders and adjustable sides to suit all types of ipod, plus a line-in socket to connect other types of MP3 players via the earphone socket.
