I am a 28 year old professional male I seem to mostly review films and I try to ensure that my reviews are concise and to the point. Who wants to read a lot of waffle that so often scores the exceptionals on here?

BPP offer a range of courses to help students pass various accountancy qualifications(these are CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, AAT and various insolvency qualifications). They also offer law, marketing and Human Resources help. There are 23 centres across the UK where you can study.
BPP offers a variety of different courses - subject courses and revision courses. The subject courses are around 400 pounds each and last three days. Revision course are closer to the exam date and cost around 300 pounds and also last two days.
The quality of the course obviously depends to an extent on the quality of the lecturer. Although I have found (and heard) that they are very good and really know who to teach. The emphasis is very much on passing the exams, so questions and revision are on what you will be examined on. There is no reading "around the subject".
If you pay for a course you are also able to contact your lecturer for further assistance, such as advise on certain areas. This can be via email or fax.
If you cannot attend a center they offer distance learning which offers the ability to contact a tutor. These cost around 100 pounds and include an exam paper which will be marked by your tutor.
In addition to the courses they also offer a variety of learning materials. There are texxt books and books of questions. These are excellent and designed to really help in the exams and that is their focus. They also offer specific advise on how to tackle questions and exam technique. They also offer flash cards for learning on the move and tapes that you can stick in a walkman. If you take a paid course you will get some of the material(text and revision question books free).
Overall the courses are useful and really help you to pass. The downside is they are not all that cheap. As accountancy normally consists of around 15 exams if you do the subject knowledge and revision courses you may spend around 10,000 pounds. Probably you will need to get your employer to cover some of this. The learning material is excellent and can be purchased seperately from the courses(at around 20 pounds per book and tape, the revision cards around 10 pounds). These are a better bet if your company cannot or will not pay. I personally find the revision cards to be just about the best idea ever and even if you don't get any other BPP material before a course you absolutely must have these, they are a work of pure genius.
I would recommend you go on the courses if you company will pay, if not it is probably better to just get the study material(unless you are rich).
Finally yt must work as I have passed all my CIMA exams using BPP material.
Exam centres are currently at the following locations. Aberdeen Birmingham Bristol Cambridge Cardiff Croydon Czech Republic Derby Dublin Edinburgh Glasgow Guildford Hungary Leeds Liverpool London Holborn London King's Cross London Moorgate London Shepherds Bush London Waterloo Luton Maidstone Manchester Milton Keynes Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Nottingham Oxford Poland Preston Reading Sheffield Southampton Warwick

We used BPP books for the AAT intermediate last year, and although they were good, we tended to skip large chunks of the text in college. I don't like the fact that as I had to order a book from them direct (nowhere had them in stock) they are constantly contacting me to offer me courses that I am not interested in. My firm now uses FTC for their training provider. Congrats on passing your exams. Claire
