THINKING OF BECOMING A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR WITH
BSM
THINK AGAIN!!!!
·£30,000 a year job WOW!!
·Passed my part 2.·Gave up my job £20,000 a year.
·Signed up to a six month franchise agreement with BSM.·No work near to where I lived so a 45 min commute to the nearest area with work.
·Worked part-time on a trainee licence, so could pay for some of the extra training needed to get me through the part 3 exam, as the basic training provided by BSM was not sufficient.·Put on hourly rate of £5.00 per hour. But still had to sign franchise agreement?
·Putting more money in fuel tank than earning, so the extra training I needed had to be paid out of my savings. One job in the morning & one in the evening. (Had to wait in Sainsburys car park for about six hours at a time, to save on petrol)
·Passed part three. (Hooray £30.000 Hear i come!!!)·Opened up my diary.
·After about six weeks only got two new customers (still on £5.00 per hour)·Away from home 6 days a week 10 to 16 hours a day (and still on a minus)
·No wages for about 4 months.·On my knees and totally broke.
·Handed my car back to BSM. (Finally had a bit of luck and found a decent company to work for)·After about a week received a letter from BSM's solicitor telling me that I would be taken to court if I did not pay them £2.689, as I had broken my franchise agreement.
·Had to pay £450 to a solicitor to defend me (This payment was just for him to read the paper work and tell me that I had no choice but to pay them)·I am now in the process of having my house repossessed and my children having a very miserable Christmas.
THANKS BSM FOR ALL YOUR HELP IN GETTING ME A NEW START IN LIFE!!!If you have had any similar problems with this company,
obviously out to rip people of and getting away with it, I would be very interested to hear your experience. bsmscam@yahoo.co.uk

If it is not too late, I would advise a second legal opinion. I would argue that the Franchise Agreement was unreasonable, and therefore not enforceable, due to the value of work that they provided, ie, less than the minimum wage. Let them goto Small Claims, in my opinion, you have a good chance of winning and they would suffer from very bad publicity!

As others have said.

If you passed all your exams could you not have become self employed? Accept that this has not worked out and move on. Am sorry it's gone wrong but it doesn't take money to have a good Xmas. I really do know. Good luck.
