Advantages The price

Disadvantages Poor website

It seemed this product was made for me! I use the net a lot in the evenings (after 6pm) and at the weekends. Coincidentally, this is when internet access is 'free'. Pay 9.99 a month, and go on the net at those times for as long as you like. That's over 300 potential hours of surfing you can have.

It was very easy to get this service, a quick download of the appropriate software, sign up, and twenty minutes later you can be using the service. There is the option of downloading a number allowing you access before 6pm (although it seems to cost nearly 4p per-minute!) which is useful if you just want to download some e-mails or something quick.

The e-mail service seems fine, easy access through Outlook Express, or good and easy access online. Just going to btinternet.com and signing in allows you access to e-mails wherever you are, and they can be downloaded at home afterwards also. There is also the option of having a text message sent to your phone when your account receives an email. In case you get a lot of junk mail, the option of just personal email messages can be chosen, and this saves you the annoyance of connecting and finding no new emails! I am not sure how many people know about this service as it does not seem to be that well advertised.

The btinternet homepage is no longer mine as it does seem a bit boring, although it does give you a lot of options and links as to where you might like to surf.

I can't really comment on what the technical support is like because I have had no problems really. The connection is slightly dodgy, it can disconnect all of a sudden, and seems to go slow after half an hour, but is generally reliable, nothing to be deterred by.

For this price you can't do much better if you are quite a 'heavy' surfer like I am, and the parents don't get that high phonebill which they always seem to expect!

Sorry for delay in writing this - it is free from 6pm-12 everyday, including bank holidays (where did that come about from anyway?) and its free every weekend, all weekend. Hope that clears it up. Thanks for your kind ratings! :-)
