BT Studio 1500 Cordless Phone with Answering Machine
The BT Studio 1500 is a silver cordless telephone with answering machine, I paid £29.74 for mine a year ago from Asda but they have come down in price since as newer models have come out.
The Base Unit
The base unit has a 2 metre cable so you need to place it within 2 metres of a mains socket and your telephone socket. BT also advise that you place it 1 metre away from other electrical appliances to avoid interference and this probably is a good idea as mine is only about 50cm away from other appliances and at first I did get some interference although it seemed to diminish over time. They also say that placing the base unit as high up as possible gives you a better signal strength. The base has two connections at the back, one for the telephone line and one ...

Advantages: Can't think of any Disadvantages: See review poor volume and lack of clarity
Rubbish!
We bought the twin handset version from Tesco.
Despite fully charging the batteries of both handsets and standing within a foot (30 cm) of the base unit, callers complained they could hardly hear us; if we increased the handset volume (which one had to do with every call - you couldn't pre-set it) the distortion became almost impossible at both ends. Hate to think how poor the quality would have been at any distance from the base.
We took them back to Tesco within a week of purchase and got a full refund. We subsequently wondered if the discounted price ( c £37) was because they were poor quality, but BT still sell them at full list and Tesco prices are also now back up to £50+.
Also you need internet access to view the full instruction leaflet as BT pack only a single-sheet potted version with the phones in ...
Advantages: nice and smart, quick dial facility Disadvantages: people ring you wanting payment of bills
As i have just moved house, we decided that we need some new telephones, as the ones we did have were grotty and old and falling to bits basically.
So me and the wife went out to currys and bought 4. Yes 4. One for the living room, one for the kitchen, one for the bedroom (which wakes you up) and one for the study for the internet.
One of the phones was the BTDecor 210. It is a nice smart white coloured phone, with a strange shaped handle.
The features that it has are:
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY
Displays dialled numbers and number that are stored in the memory. It also displays the call time and other visable information. Ideal for telling the wife how long she has been on the phone, 2 her mother, who lives only 2 streets away.
ONE TOUCH MEMORY BUTTONS
Allows you to store and dial up to three numbers at the touch ...
