I decided to get a new phone a couple of months ago as my old one looked like it was the first phone ever invented, it was terrible. I was on a budget so it was no high-tech, expensive phones for me. I had a wee look up town and found one I really liked called the BT Decor 210 in comet it was only £14.99, it looked great and it had so many features, so I bought it. I couldn’t wait to get home and start calling everyone lol. When I opened it, it looked really smart but weird, the top of the handset was hanging over the base. ~~~All about the BT Decor 210~~~
Well you can get it either in white or silver, but white is more popular. The silver phone cost slightly more than the white one it was £17.99 and the other was only £14.99 as I said. The telephone comes in just a normal box with pictures and features on it. Its already assembled all you have to do is plug it in...Very easy (even for me, and that says something lol) It is available in a very wide range of shops, which is always a good thing :)
~~~Features~~~
· 1 Line Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) with icons - Display dialled numbers. · 10 Two-Touch memories. (Quick dial) · 3 One-Touch memories. · Call timer - Monitors the duration of a call. · Handsfree operation/Volume control. · Last number redial. · Pre-dialling facility with dial button. · Recall Ringer tone option - Allows you to set the ringing pitch of the phone. · Ringer volume control. · Secrecy (music on hold)I have to admit I reallllllyyyyy like the tune :) · Visual ring indicator. · Wall mountable - using the bracket provided.
~~~Advantages for me~~~
. There are spaces in between the number buttons so its not as easy to dial the wrong number. . It is easy to read the numbers I was dialling on the LCD (I’m usually blind with stuff like that lol). . It doesn’t look out of place in my living room, unlike my old one. . It isn’t uncomfortable after a while as the handset is shaped to be more comfortable, I’m a wee chatter box so that is brill. . Instead of looking in my address book every two minutes most of the numbers are stored in my phone, it really is allot better.
~~~Disadvantages~~~
. Well really the only thing I have to complain about is the handset, as I said earlier it sat really funny on the base. The way the handset is shaped and because it hangs over the end of the base you are continually worried in case you haven’t put the phone down properly. I have done it a good few times.
Overall the BT Decor 210 is a really good telephone: -stylish, value for money, loads of features and very easy to use. I would definatly recommend it to everyone, so have a wee look and see what you think
Advantages: nice and smart, quick dial facility Disadvantages: people ring you wanting payment of bills
...of the phones was the BT Decor 210. It is a nice smart white coloured phone, with a strange shaped handle.
The features that it has are:
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY
Displays dialled numbers and number that are stored in the memory. It also displays the call time and other visable information. Ideal for telling the wife how long she has been on the phone, 2 her mother, who lives only 2 streets away.
ONE TOUCH MEMORY BUTTONS
Allows you to store and ... ...use with a switchboard/PBX and BT select services.
REDIAL BUTTON
As it states, redials the last number called.
It also has a handset hook, which enables you to put the phone on a wall.
I know possibly it is not the best phone in the world but, none the less, it serves its purpose. You cant complain at the price for £15. This phone is at the cheaper end of the range as phones can cost upto £100 if you wanted to go that high.
Over all it is a ...
Advantages: Nice looking with plenty of features Disadvantages: Handset does not replace very well
...much so went for the BT Decor 210 which cost £17.94 from Currys.
On opening the box I found a nice crisp white coloured phone with fairly large rounded buttons and a liquid crystal display. The phone can be desk mounted or wall mounted. I personally feel the phone would be better on a wall as unless you have the phone up close to you on a desk or table it can be difficult to see the display. The only other thing about the phone I am not quite happy ... ...you have replaced it or not, again I think it would be better on the wall as it comes with a hook on the base unit which when revolved keeps the hand set in place.
The main features of the Decor 210 are: -
QUICKDIAL BUTTON which allows you to dial 10 stored numbers.
ONE-TOUCH MEMORY BUTTONS which lets you store and dial up to three numbers at the touch of a button.
LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY that shows dialled numbers and call duration.
CALL INDICATOR ...
Advantages: Functions well, Speaker Phone Very Good Disadvantages: If Disconnected for a Long Time It Wipes The Memory
This functions well as a standard phone. Has Several Stores for Numbers on the Phone for Speed Dial. You can have 3 main numbers and up to 10 other quick dials.
The speakerphone part is effective, with the ability to adust the volume ( 5 presets).
The secrecy button doubles as a musical hold (but don't think its fantastic).
Easy to use from the instructions.
