Advantages Advantages Very flexible option for home or small office

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Our BT Diverse 2010 DECT is about three years old and consists of a control unit with cordless handset and two additional cordless handsets. Original purchase price £125. One handset is upstairs, two downstairs – one in the living room and one in the kitchen. The kitchen one often ends up in the garden or garage – a belt clip is a supplied accessory. Do they work – yes, would I recommend them – yes. A wee bit of technical background first of all. Many of us will remember the older style cordless phones which were quite bulky, with a long telescopic aerial, often ... more

Advantages Advantages A brilliant phone with loads of functionality and performance

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lack of pager facility

After the unsuccessful replacement of our portable telephone last Christmas, we decided it was time to purchase a new one and catch up with the digital revolution. Thats right. Digital. Our Analogue unit that we bought sounded like a jet fighter taking off sometimes. How many times have you been on your analogue portable and heard.... "Hello? Mr Bloggs? Yes im ringing up to tell you about FFSHSHHSHDHSHFHF and the great FSHFSFSFSFSF at the moment." Fed up with tihs, we decided that what we wanted was cystal clear sound quality. So, off to the shops we went with the idea of coming home with the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Cordless, digital,

Disadvantages Disadvantages aerial always needs to be up for it to be clear

The BT Quartet 2010 is a digital, cordless telephone. It is grey in colour and stands in a charger. There is also a base unit where the telephone line is attached. With this phone you can have up to 4 extra handsets. We only have the one though as this telephone is in our bedroom and we have another telephone downstairs already. Before you first use it, you should charge it up for 24 hours. When talking to someone on the phone, you should extend the aerial to make it clearer and not crackly when talking to the other person. I have noticed if you do not put the aerial up, it does sound a bit ... more

Advantages Advantages Very good sound quality

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not that loud

This morning I was thinking about what to write for my next op when my phone rang. So here I am. Writing an op about my new cordless telephone. The handset is of a good shape and size; it also has several uncomplicated buttons. The display is pretty plain and doesn’t seem to offer a lot. When it is not in use all that is displayed is the battery meter. The hole at the bottom (what you speak into) is discrete and so is the listening part at the top of the handset. On the back it featured the BT logo in silver print. The battery compartment lid opens and closed well with a click sound. On ... more

Advantages Advantages Good signal range and sound quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bad phone book and the shape

Well, time for another little grumble. As you can probably guess, I have the BT Diverse 2021. Its a functional phone that is MADE well, but the design and the ergonomics are not to boast about. The keypad layout is good, and all of the buttons are easily accessable with one finger. The display is clear and easy to read with a functional battery metre and volume metre. It would help if the phone's display and numeric keypad have a back light in, so that when you are chatting in the dark, you can see the numbers that you are pressing. A bad point would be the built-in phone book. You can only ... more
