Advantages Advantages Easy to use, lots of options

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None as yet

I am not really a gadgets person if I am honest, the simpler the better for me. I am not going to sit down and read a manual to find out how something works. I like to plug it in, press an on button and away we go. I was in desperate need of a new house telephone, not only was mine a little dated and by that I mean it wasn't even cordless, but it had begun to made this horrific cracking sound whenever I tried to speak to people, so I decided that I needed something cheap, efficient and if possible cordless so I could walk around the house and talk on the telephone instead of being routed to ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to set up, easy to use, packed with features

Disadvantages Disadvantages I've not found any so far.

I've never had much luck with cordless phones in the past and have had two other different brands before - both of which have failed me in some way. I was beginning to wonder whether, no matter how good the brand name or how technical and promising the blurb all these phone were the same. They're not! I've had my BT Freestyle Quad phone for 3 weeks now and am so delighted with their performance felt I had to write my first review. Straight out of the box and after the initial charging period it was all systems go. There was no setting each phone to the base unit and all the ardous getting ... more

Advantages Advantages Good clarity of sound, excellent range without degradation of quality, light

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bulky, poor selection of ringtones, ringtones are too quiet, poor loudspeaker

We've fancied a new telephone for a while now, and the move from the old-fashioned corded phone to a more sleek model seemed an obvious thing to do. We searched for a while and came accross the Freestyle 350 model in the Argos catalogue. The triple was chosen because of the number of rooms in our home. The first thing I noticed about the handset was that it is far more bulky and bigger than I expected, or than was represented in the pictures I had seen. On the positive side, each of the handsets is light-weight and rechargeable, with an excellent battery life even if you do not regularly ... more

Advantages Advantages Good range and clarity of sound

Disadvantages Disadvantages Software and styling - basically difficult to use

Bit of a disappointment really. It works well as a basic phone, but oh, who styled it, and who wrote the software - obviously not a user! It was easy to set up: plug in to a 13A and phone sockets, remove tabs from the batteries, and wait 16 hours to charge. Sound quality is very good during calls, and the range more than adequate all round our thick-walled house. However all other functions are disappointing: Phone book entries have to be separately entered into each handset. As I guess most people, like me, will want all three handsets to be the same, it is bizarre that they cannot be copied ... more

Advantages Advantages Audio is great and loudspeak is nice and clear

Disadvantages Disadvantages Shoddy build quality with a useless display

A pretty good set of phones which do the job they say they will but fall down on a couple of areas. Sound quality is good on normal calls and on speaker phone and the ringer could be heard from the moon so no qualms there. If you have your broadband and phone on the same line make sure you have a good filter or the audio will drop off on calls to a whisper. The answer phone is also great and can be turned on or off at the touch of a button, there is also a button for locating the phone when you leave it in the kitchen cupboard etc. Build quality and interface are the biggest issues, it feels ... more
