The BT Home-Hub v2.0 may look chic and stylish in comparison to previous models, but personally I have not noticed any beneficial differences between the v2.0 and the v1.0. Despite numerous claims that the wireless signal is 'twice as strong as other wireless providers', I have no reason whatsoever to endorse this. In my medium sized flat, I only receive good, stable signal in the rooms adjacent to the Hub, and in other rooms the signal repeatedly disappears completely.
One of the Hub's main selling points is the many various connections which it boasts, including 4 ethernet connections and a USB socket. All previous versions of the home-hub have had the capability to connect a printer to the hub and therefore print documents wirelessly from anywhere in your home or garden. Unfortunately this is not possible with the v2.0.
The hub-phone which is included luckily has better signal than the wireless and therefore there are no problems with the phone-line connection. One small advantage would be if the phone had caller ID, as even if the number which is calling you is listed in the phone's contacts, when the phone rings it is listed only as 'unknown number'.
In conclusion, from my experience I would advise considering one of the earlier models of Home-hub as the v2.0 just doesn't seem to live up to them.
