I havn't had this phone long but already I'm liking it. It looks good with the transparent plue trim and snazzy blue LCD display. Ithas been bought as replacement after the dog decided that our BT freestyle was an excellent chew toy. Just press the button with the book icon and you enter the address book. Select new knock in your name select ok and enter the number and ok again. You can now either edit delete call or enter a new number. As this is a DECT phone there is no interference on the line and the phone has good range reaching as far as the bottom of my garden with any loss of signal.
If I have one crib its the lack of ring tones of which there are five all a combination of beeps. In the age of the mobile phone you would think phones would become a little more versitile on the ringtone front. Its a pity because in combination with caller display you can customise your tone to the caller. No chance to have red alert for the mother in law as I have on my mobile.
The answer machine has the standard greetings and settings with the option of changing the standard answer for one of your own. People used to phone up just to listen to my impersination of John Wayne which I would have found funny if I had intended it. So I stick with the pre recorded message.
