I brought this phone after my old one gave up the ghost (rest in peace).
I wanted a hands free phone because im always on the move, well with twins you don't have much time to stay in one place, so i did a bit a research before i brought one.
~Advantages~
Really wasn't that expensive, i needed a phone that was hands free, and that came with an answering service, and i could tell who is ringing me and who had rung me. This phone has all the above features. As i work from home i needed an answering service where you could listen to the messages which are being left, because if im busy working i don't always answer the phone, who never know whether its someone just trying to sell something, so because i can here if its important i can cut it and take the call.
Also because i am based at home i have to go out a lot and because it stores the numbers that have rung i can easily return a call even if they haven't left a message.
I also didn't want to spend a fortune, at the end of the day it is a house phone and all i need it for is to receive and make phone calls. It cost me £24.99 and i purchased it from Currys.
It is very stylish looking and not on the large size, very neat and compact.
It is very easy to use and the manual it comes with is very easy to follow. It explains every function of the phone in laymen's terms.
~Functions~
It has a call timer on the screen so you can see how long you have been on the phone. It has an earpiece volume where you can select between 8 levels of volume, to alter this just use the up and down buttons on the handset whilst on the phone. There are 3 different handset volumes and melodies and 3 different base set volumes and melodies so you can mix and match.
Secrecy button if you do not want to person on the other end to hear what you are saying. Last number re-dial. Store names and numbers into your phone book, and if they ring there name will be displayed. View calls you have made or missed. call waiting function as long as you have subscribed, so you can speak to 2 callers. The phone has an option where it can beep you if the battery is low or you are out of range.
You have the option to answer the phone either by picking it up of the base set or, pressing the receiver symbol which is on the handset.
You can alter the language there are 7 to choose from.
You can key lock the phone, this is helpful if you have little ones.
You can also have the option to enter a pin code, by doing this you can access your messages from another phone.
The Answer machine has a pre-recorded message or you can make your own. It has a 12 minute recording time. You can store up to 30 name and numbers in your phone, and the caller display can hold up to 30 numbers also.
It has a pager button and the base set if you forget where you have left the handset.
You can also add additional handset and base sets up to 4 base sets can be used. With the additional handsets you can make internal calls just by pressing 1 on the keypad. Date and times are stored on your phone so you know when someone has called. Range is 500 metres outdoors and 50 metres indoors.

BT Studio 1500 Cordless Phone with Answering Machine
The BT Studio 1500 is a silver cordless telephone with answering machine, I paid £29.74 for mine a year ago from Asda but they have come down in price since as newer models have come out.
The Base Unit
The base unit has a 2 metre cable so you need to place it within 2 metres of a mains socket and your telephone socket. BT also advise that you place it 1 metre away from other electrical appliances ... ...my mobile anyway!
The BT Studio 1500 has all the features that a good cordless home phone should have. It looks good, is comfortable to use, the menu's are easy to navigate and it was great value for money. The signal clarity was not great at first but I'm 99% sure that this was due to where I had located the base unit. The instruction book is well laid out and easy to understand and BT on the whole are a trusted brand, which is the main reason ...

Advantages: stylish, compact, easy to use Disadvantages: base unit quite light, easily knocked off, battery life not the best
It looks great, compact, stylish, very easy to use the basic functions, and a very durable telephone and base unit, we have had ours four years now and there are still hardly any scratches on it even with the last two years having had two small children who like to try and get at it. It feels like it wouldnt actually ever break as such as the handset it really solid and well made, the base unit is very light though so it can be pulled or knocked ... ...have to admit i was amazed at the price, i paid around £25 for mine and i thouhgt for an answer machine as well that was excellent value especially as i do see it as a make you can trust as well, being BT. Sound quality is excellent, i had previously bought all sorts of digital this and that but this product had far less problems with reception than any of the higher priced models, there isnt a lot of "dont put it her, dont put it there" just the ...

Advantages: Wireless, Answerphone integrated Disadvantages: Short Number Of Rings
Hi, I have now had this phone for almost 3 months and I originally bought it to replace the old corded phone which I had to leave behind when moving house. Because of this the phone was bought without any major looking in to, all I was looking for was for a reasonably priced cordless phone which had an answer phone built into it. In my review I will weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of this phone.
Advantages:
1. The cordless capabilities ... ...up I thought why not give it a test to see how far I would be able to go before the phone cut out. After doing this test it was clear how much of a good buy this phone really was, I had managed to walk about 200 feet away from my house and the phone did not even cut out, in fact I could not even recognise a decrease in the quality of the signal. My next plan is to see how far I can take it before it completely cuts out.
2. The phone also has an ...

Advantages: Easy to use; stylish looking. Disadvantages: No speaker phone.
...stylish. We've got another BT phone with answerphone that we have had for 12 years and still works so hopefully these will last the same length of time! A Binatone phone with speaker phone only lasted a few years - the speaker phone was never clear either so we weren't interested in having that again and decided to opt for a BT one again albeit with no speaker phone. The receiver is very light and is comfortable to hold for long calls. You can easily ...

...and in every shop the bt studio 1500 kept popping up, so we had a look at one.
Its a good looker, easy to hold and its cordless, the buttons are very easy to see and use, and the phone fits into your hand very nicley. Even the kids can use it, they found our last phone hard to use, too many buttons.
I think this little cordless phone is great, it is easy to use, has a nice feel to it, and is fine when having to use for a long time. It is very light ... ...my self, as do all the family and friends.
This phone has a Phonebook,Secrecy Button,Adjust Volume Button, On Screen Display, and an Answering Machine, what i must say i very easy to use.
The phone has a user manual with it, what is very easy to understand and also in english, also they is a telephone number to ring if you need help or support with your phone.
Also this phone comes in sets of 1 to 4 that all work from one mother board.
Only one ...

Advantages: Easy to use answer machine, attractive cordless phones with caller display. Disadvantages: Can be a little annoying to get used to
I have been using the BTstudio1500 twin digital, cordless telephone answering machine for some time now, I have the base unit answer machine downstairs with the extra hand set which is a BTstudio 1000 and charger upstairs.
The telephones appear to be fine but can be quite complicated to get used to.
The box included the following:
one BTstudio1500 handset
one BTstudio 1000 handset
one BTstudio1500 base
one BTstudio 1000 charger
four AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries
two mains power adapters
telephone line cord
users guide
Although this set is excellent value and does exactly what it says on the box it can often be quite annoying to work with.
For example hanging up/ending a call can be frustrating as it doesn't always do what its told often I have found it stays on the call length timer and continues to add ...
