I bought these phone's to replace an old phone that had died. I hated tripping over the wire of my old phone so I decided that cordless was a good idea. I have had cordless in the past and had no luck with them. They would either have a terrible sound with lot's of interference or they would run through batteries so quickly that it was more hastle than what it was worth. However when I heard about the BT phone package for the four Studio 3100 I knew that they would be high quality and the price seemed very reasonable considering you are getting a pack of four. There are other phones on the market that are more expensive and don't offer you the same type of quality. I looked at other reviews of this product before I invested, but they all seemed very positive.
Unlike my other cordless phones the first thing I noticed was what good reception it had. The reception was so clear and it was simple to work. With my other phones I have struggled to hear the caller, but with this phone it is wonderfully clear and easy to hear the caller. The instructions were easy to follow and even though you are supposed to wait 24 hours for the phone to charge it was ready to use after just 10 hours. I love the big buttons they are easy to see and to use.

The BT Studio 3100 telephone is a very reliable, high quality cordless telephone that is low cost. Whilst it isn't as flashy as some phones on the market with all the extra features it does a brilliant job. Who cares about the extra features for the price you pay? Half of the features found on higher priced phones never get used anyway so you might as well save money and invest in a cheaper phone that works just as well. There are certain key features on this phone just not as many as some might have. In my opinion I think they have just the right amount of features on these phones they are more than adequate. With those big fancy phones with all the features they give me a headache. I never know what each one is for and I find myself pressing the wrong buttons. Often I have accidently put the phone down on someone because I pressed the wrong button or my daughter has! These phones have a 50 name and number phonebook, you can even assign melodies to your phonebook entries, that is quite a fun feature of this phone. You get call waiting, last number redial, secrecy facility, call timer, talktime up to 10 hours, 30 minutes/standby time up to 160 hours with a range of up to 300 metres outdoors/50 metres indoors.

The Studio 3100 home phone by BT will fit nicely anywhere in your home. The features include, 50 name and number memory, secrecy button, 5 monophonic ringtones, 10 last number redial, Clock, Alarm, Incoming ring personalisation, Call waiting, and so much more. Whilst the extra features are good they are not overly complicated and are pretty easy to use. They will not throw you or make you think what is this button for? In that respect it is very easy to use.
The phone has features such as up to 10 hours talk-time. This is really good because you don't have to worry constantly about recharging it like you do with some other cordless phones. In all the times we have bought cordless phones they have never been reliable up until this one. It has up to 160 hours standby time. The ringer volume control is on the handset which is a pretty convinient place for it to be as you are not searching frantically trying to find it. Everything on this phone is easy to use. Put it like this if I can use it then you can. I'm not a whiz when it comes to phones, I'm a bit of a technophobe where phones are concerned.
The phone has a black and white 14 segment display. Caller ID is good to check who is phoning and decide if you want to answer it or not. Particularly good if you don't want to answer the phone to someone in particular. My parents always tend to phone just when we have sat down to eat so I don't answer the phone and phone them back later. I usually get an ear blast about why I didn't answer the phone, but that's my parents for you.
The colour of the phone is a nice silver colour. It has keypad lock just like mobile phones. It has call transfer so if someone is upstairs then you can transfer the call upstairs. This is really convinient because you don't have to shout to the person or make a trip upstairs when you are busy doing something downstairs. The cordless facility is probably the best feature because you can take the phone with you wherever you go in the house. It has up to 50 meter indoor range, up to 300 metre outdoor range (in ideal conditions), it takes 2 x AAA rechargeable batteries (supplied).
I love the way the display is blue and leans back on its base. I like the call waiting feature this allows you to talk to someone whilst the other call is waiting. As you are talking to someone if someone calls you, you will hear a soft beep in the earpiece. If it is used with caller display you can also see who is calling you as long as that person has not witheld their number.
The secrecy feature allows you to talk to someone in the same room as you without the caller hearing you. Espescially good if you want to swear at someone without them hearing you, lol! Or for those pesky telesales calls.

You get a choice of 5 different ringer tunes for the base and 5 for the handset and this helps you to make the phone personalised to your own particular style. This personalisation is great for the phone because it makes it your own.

The 5 ringer volume control levels allow you to set the ringer at a volume that you like or you can turn it off completely. The best thing is that if you purchase more than 1 handset then the phone is GAP compatible. You can register a maximum of 5 handsets to one base and one handset can be registered to up to 4 bases. There is the feature of internal handset to handset calls so if you are in the house and want to talk to someone in the house who is in a different room to you then you can do. You can call transfer between handset calls and also have 3 way calling.

You do need to subscribe to a Caller Display or Call Waiting Service for these features to work and you may have to pay a quarterly fee.
The phone comes with a simple guide, but you can also download a full guide online. It has a lovely neat, stylish handset and charging unit that will look good in most houses. This phone has all you could need although it doesn't have an answer phone these are relatively easy to purchase and not very expensive.

In conclusion it is a particularly convinient phone because it is so easy to carry around the house with you. It is easy to set up and use. It is reliable and won't let you down.
