BT Synergy 4100 TWIN

Advantages: Stylish, Good Price, Nice to use
Disadvantages: Seems to fail easily, Not great to talk into

...We bought the Synergy 600 twin pack because we wanted phones upstairs and down that we could both use as intercoms and have a three way conversation with (for when parents ring!). The Synergy seemed to be the best bet we found. Advantages: Easy to use, allows you to site and use the phone anywhere in the house. Good reception.

...I bought this phone to replace an old anologue system, anyone that has had, or owns one of these will be aware of the problems with poor reception. I wanted to replace it and decided to go for a DECT phone, but which one?. A friend at work had just bought a BT synergy and said how good it was. I started the search and found the Synergy 500 Twin advertised at less than £80. I bought it. The phones do what they say. You can walk round the house whilst the reception remains crystal clear, it also works outside, my old analogue claimed it would but it was a joke. The BT Synergy 500 comprises a home base unit which is small and stylish, the second phone sits nicely in a small charging cradle and does not require to be plugged into a phone socket. ...Having had several other brands of cordless dect phones which never seemed to last more than a year I decided to try a BT phone. The Synergy 4100 appealed to me as it had the features I was looking for, primarily a large phonebook, caller display and ability to transfer numbers to and from a mobile sim card. I didn't want an answerphone so didn't see the need to pay extra for phones with built in answering machines. I decided to go for the triple pack as we are getting an extension built and as my kids tend to leave the phone wherever they happen to be at the time of a call, three phones seemed like a good idea so I don't have to run around the (soon to be larger) house searching for the phone each time it rings!
