Dave Pelzer has really opened up in this book and deserves a great big hug for the amount of trauma he has incurred. He has really gone in depth about his unfortunate life and has had a lot of courage to write about the incidents that have happened to him. It makes you really understand the extremity of child abuse and makes realize how bad life can be for some youngsters. He is very brave for writing about his mother although he seems very forgiving. It is a really sad story and you should prepare to read this gripping story with the kleenex at hand. I enjoyed reading this sad story and felt nothing but sympathy for such a brave man. Very well done to the author. ...
