B&Q Oil Filled Radiator

Bought one of these around 6months ago our heating wasn't going to be working for a couple of weeks so bought this for the bedroom. Went to B&Q as knew they had quite a selection didn't want a huge one as we don't really have much room in the bedroom.
We bought it as a replacement for the halogen that we had been using which the dogs kept walking past and singing their tails in.

It takes quite a while to heat up even when it is on full power but once it is warm it is more than enough to warm our bedroom up. It has various settings of heat so once the room is warm you can turn it down which is a really useful feature, the dial for doing this how ever does not have numbers on it and I do think it would benefit it if it did so you could turn it down a set amount and know which setting you usually use.
Once it gets really hot and has been on quite a while it does turn itself off and takes a long time to come back on this can get rather annoying if you have put it on for over night. All though it is a good safety feature in case you have left it on and then gone out forgetting about turning it off.

It is very easy to operate having a simple on and off switch and a dial to adjust how hot you would like it. There is a light that comes on when its turn on and goes out when it is off so even in the dark you can see if it is off or on.
Other than that you just plug it into the socket and it works… simple!

It has a decent length cable so you can position it most places within a room, it isn't a huge radiator so does not take up mass space in a room.
It has a useful little handle on the top to move it around by, this does not get at all hot even when it has been on full for ages so it is easy to move around or out of the way even when it is on or been on without getting burnt.
It is not a hideous looking thing and has smooth lines and isn't awful to look at, it comes in a dark silver colour looking very much modern and just fitting in with the look of our general room..
It is structurally well put together and very stable on the ground it definitely would not be easy to damage, even if it does get knocked over it is still fine and also does not instantly burn a hole in your carpet or anything it lands on.

It is completely silent when it is on so you would not even know it was tthere great for having in the bedroom.

The instruction manual it came with looked helpful all though all I did was flick through it the radiators so simple to use it doesn't really need an instruction book, but it contained all relevant safety information and usage instructions. It also had a helpline if you had any problems with it.

We paid £19.99 for this from B&Q around 6months ago and comes with a years guarantee in case anything should go wrong with it., as far as I am aware they still sell these now all though they might not have as many in stock as it is getting towards summer.

It does not use much electricity and is very economical using only 4p an hour whilst in use on maximum power. Not sure how this compares to other brands as I have only bought this one but it definitely uses less than the halogen we used to have.

I would not recommend it if you have small children running around unless it is behind a guard in case they fell on it or touched it as it could very easily burn them..

Other than that I would definitely recommend this product to other people I have found it very useful whilst not having heating and even my parents are on about getting one for themselves for the kitchen.

I definitely think this is worth a 5 star excellent rating as I have never had a single problem with this.
