The Brother 135C - Terribly unreliable

Advantages: ink consumption
Disadvantages: unreliable

I had this printer some time ago (long since replaced) and regretted buying it from the instant I go it home. In my opinion the quality of printing could have been better for word documents and was absolutely shocking for photos (horizontal stripes across the surface of the print even on best quality settings). The paper feed was an endless nightmare - you had to be very careful about the number of sheets you put into the paper tray. Too many and the printer would get a 'paper jam' too few and you would get the message 'no paper in tray' and I'm not talking about vast differences in quantities - just a dozen sheets or so. 80% of them time that I tried to print something I would experience a problem causing me endless frustration. On paper it looks a decent printer but for me it just wasn't worth the hassle. The one plus side it did have ...

Save Your Old LP's NOW With This

Advantages: Save LP's and Tapes To CD With Ease
Disadvantages: Initial Cost

the advanced. Great. VALUE FOR MONEY Only seen it for £90, sounds a bit expensive but I also looked at getting a separate pre-amp and running that to the sound card, but they are still about £25 and by the time you buy the leads your looking more like £40 and you still have no decent editing software. Great value for money overall. MY OPINION It?s not for everyone, but then what is. If you have some old LP?s or tapes and want to convert them to CD then this really is the unit for you. Go, go on, go now and buy one. ...

Review of TerraTec Phono PreAmp Studio USB

There is no better introduction to Home Cinema

Advantages: Value for money, build quality, features
Disadvantages: Difficult to bi-wire

. The fronts are connected with Qudos Silver Anniversary cable and the rears with Cambridge Audio Linea 3. The resultant sound is superb for the money invested in it. The unit itself is very solidly built and measures 44cm x 12.5cm x 33cm which makes it just a little wider than many video and DVD units but it should still squeeze into most TV/Audio display cabinets. The 6095RDS is compatable with the ‘One For All’ brand of replacement remotes but the remote control supplied is very nice. With that said, it has so many buttons it appears you could fly the Space Shuttle with it. Indeed, the 6095RDS has so many features that it comes with a 25 page manual written in small type! The receiver has both a FM tuner and AM tuner, RDS search functions and 30 pre-sets. Reception is particularly good even with only the most basic UHF ariel ...
