I know when I admit this your all going to think I am sad! But after watching Lauren Conrad on The Hills again I couldnt help but feel jealous! I wanted the tumbling beach curls she had. I had tried nearly every product under the sun to get it from the sea salt sprays to curlers which gave me afro like hair. But a few weeks later I recieved Babyliss You Curls for my birthday, and I was excited to try them out!
They come in a sleek black box with a picture of them women on the front sporting the exact curls I wanted! On the back is a step by step instruction of how to achieve these curls, after a quick look I decided it seemed easy enough.
Pulling out the curlers they looked quite odd! They were similar to straightners with the metal silver plates to put your hair inbetween but on one side the metal curved out the edge and around. Although they looked odd I thought they seemed quite funky!
Plugging them in and you'll find you can set the tempreture to whatever you want I didnt set it to high as my hair is quite thin. Then it'll beep to let you know it's reached the tempreture. Now for the fun part.
The idea is is like straightners to put your hair inbetween the plates at the roots of your hair and as you slide the curling irons down you gently twist the hair and on reaching the bottom your hair should have a nice beach wave to it.
After the first curl I did, and I was really impresses second and thrid also went well. However on reaching the otherside of my hair it became increasingly difficult and instead of creating lucious tumbling curls I was creating frizz!
Maybe it is because Im a bit caggy handed, but I find these curlingirons exceptionally difficult to use. When I get it right I get the style I want however it seems once one curl goes wrong every other one after that will too.
My opnion is that there not as good as advertised and there definatley not that simple to use!

Advantages: You don't need to re-straighten time after time, can create thing whispy curls very easily. Disadvantages: Damages hair, very expensive, yuo can get better for your money with babyliss.
