When my son was two years and a few-months-old he still did not want to use his little potty. One evening my husband went to the local John Lewis and bought him a very nice Baby Bjorn potty chair. It was also much more expensive than our old potty. I was not happy about it and wanted to bring it back to the store. However, our son started to use it immediately. There was one problem at the beginning; he could not get used to to seeing what was in the potty jumping halfway through. I had to run to the bathroom, wash the potty, bring it back and then repeat the process two or three times more. Then I found a solution. Every time he jumped of the potty I put a toilet paper on the top. It worked very well and he started to do it himself. It continued for a month or so and then he simply got used to to the surprises in the potty. He is now a four-year-old boy and he still likes using it. It is so comfortable that he prefers it to the toilet seat (well, we have to get him a comfortable seat). When he is on the potty chair I often find him playing with his mega blocks or other construction toys. I have heard that very good ideas might come when you are on the loo :)
In my opinion the advantages of this potty chair are: - high backrest (good for the spine) - comfortable seat and the inner potty is long with a higher front preventing spillages on the carpet which is very useful for boys - the height of the chair is just right for the little kids - lots of legroom - non slip base, very sturdy - the inner potty is deep
Looking back I do not think we have wasted money on this potty chair because we would have wasted more on the nappies. It is pity you cannot buy a spare inner potty. Good to have a spare one if you have more than one child.
I really recommend this potty chair because it works very well and although it is expensive in the long run you will save because it is cheaper than a few packs of nappies. Every two months we spend £18.00 on nappies and that is a price of this potty. However, while I do recommend this potty chair it is not something that you have to buy, a "must have". I believe, there are families out there who are happy with their first choice of potties.
A new ergonomic design gives the BABYBJORN Potty Chair softer forms and lots of leg room so your child gets closer to the inner potty. The BABYBJORN Potty Chair fast becomes any child's "favorite chair," where they are happy to sit as long as necessary. Features: Made of durable, PVC free and recyclable plastic.
