Made out of strong tubular steel with extra strong locking and folding mechanisms, this smart bedrail is ideal when your toddler is getting used to sleeping in a big bed. It is also great for travelling because it folds up and packs into its own nylon bag and can be used on all slatted and solid based beds (apart from cribs and upper bunk beds) as well as sofas if necessary. Please note: Some bed bases (with a lip) can interfere with the folding mechanism of bed rails so please check your base before purchasing.
Advantages: Easy to instal, easy to fold and pack away. Disadvantages: Is more like a barrier tan a gate.
...I needed something to put at my back door, to keep my very mobile, and inquisitive 1 year old in. I must admit that I was facing severe difficulties with this as the back door is small.
The only gates that seemed to be small enough seemed to be those that are permanently fitted, Obviously this wasn't an option, as it would mean always leaving the door open, or literally unscrew the fittings on the frame every night, and put them back in the morning.
Then I came across these travel gates. They seemed perfect, and they could be extended not only to fit my small door, but if needed larger areas both inside and outside.
I purchased this particular gate from Argos for £24.99, although it was advertised as a Lindam gate, I didn't realise until I came home that this was a BabyDan product.

Advantages: Easy set-up & take down, very secure Disadvantages: none
...We purchased this when our son was about 3 months old, after deciding that co-sleeping was the way forward. The bedrail is actually made to enable toddlers to sleep in their own beds withour falling out, but we use ours on our bed, to stop our baby son falling out.
It is very easy to set up, and take down and always take ours on holiday with us. It comes with a handy carrying bag, and once fitted to a bed is very secure. It will only fit to certain types of bed though, so it is worth checking first If you have a divan, then there will not be any issues.
We have been very pleased with our bedrail, and would defiantely recommend it!...

Advantages: Light weight and portable Disadvantages: only one lenght of poles for under mattress
...the mattress on top. By doing this we felt a little happier knowing that our son wasn't going to fall out of bed.
We have since moved him into a toddler and still use the bed guard, and yes you have guessed it, it is cable tied under the mattress.!!!!!!!
In all honesty at the end of the day, the guard does what it wants us to do, stops our boy falling out of bed, but it would have been nicer if Tomy put a recommendation on the packaging as to what sort of bed it would be safe for!!!!
Oh I forgot to say, as well as the pocket, you can also fold the rail down when reading your toddle's bedtime story, and you can completely fold the rail down and take it on holiday with you.
P.s we have recommended it to potential buyers if you copy what we did with the cable ties!!!!!!!...

'Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman' is a collection of short stories written by Haruki Murakami; well known Japanese author with works such as 'Kafka on the Shore', Norwegian Wood' and 'After Dark'.
Firstly a bit about the author; Haruki Murakami was born more

Julie Highmore has been relatively unknown to me until recently when I read the most enjoyable book called Pure Fiction. With this in mind I set off to the H section in the local library and was delighted to find this one snuggling on more
