I needed something to put at my back door, to keep my very mobile, and inquisitive 1 year old in. I must admit that I was facing severe difficulties with this as the back door is small. The only gates that seemed to be small enough seemed to be those that are permanently fitted, Obviously this wasn't an option, as it would mean always leaving the door open, or literally unscrew the fittings on the frame every night, and put them back in the morning. Then I came across these travel gates. They seemed perfect, and they could be extended not only to fit my small door, but if needed larger areas both inside and outside. I purchased this particular gate from Argos for £24.99, although it was advertised as a Lindam gate, I didn't realise until I came home that this was a Baby Dan product. Super stair gate which keeps the dog where I want him

I needed something to stop my puppy from tearing upstairs and eating my shoes and the cat's food, but didn't want to strat drilling holes in my 19th century stair post or walls. I looked at various stair gates online but without seeing them in the flesh, couldn't assess the size of the opening - a friend has one that only a supermodel could get through! Luckliy there is a Mothercare not too far away so I looked at what they had to offer. Although there wasn't one made up on display, a very helpful member of staff took one out of its box so that I could see the complete style. The gate is white metal, so blends in with most surroundings, and has just a bar at the bottom rather than a step which can be difficult to negotiate.
