A good looking carrier that Daddies will wear!
Advantages: Soft fabric, comfortable for baby, looks sporty Disadvantages: Can be fiddly getting baby in and out
We bought the Tomy Freestyle for use with our first child two years ago. It's a front carrier that takes a baby from birth to around 9 months. It cost me around £30 from Mothercare.
We chose this carrier because the fabric was so soft inside and on the ...

Tomy freestyle baby carrier with 2 positions.
Advantages: You can carry your baby facing you or facing outwards in total comfort. Disadvantages: None that I can think of.
I bought one of these for my first baby, it was a god send, you can carry your baby in 2 positions - facing you or facing outwards. I found facing them towards you when they are small is better as they cant see much from birth anyway. As they get older ...

Awkward to use, not click and go!
Advantages: 2 way facing Disadvantages: Uncomfy, fiddly, expensive

Advantages: very secure, easy to use, holds baby in well Disadvantages: can't use once baby gets bigger as caused me back ache :(
To be honest when I was expecting my daughter, having a carrier didn't even cross my mind. With all the excitement of shopping for a pram and other baby accessories I really didn't think of the practicality. As when my daughter was first born I hadn't yet ...

Carrying in comfort and style
Advantages: closeness, hands free Disadvantages: hugs chin when facing outwards
When I was pregnant, I bought a cheap baby carrier from Lidl for £10. It was quite sweet, seemed fairly robust (to my untrained eye) and I was happy with my purchase. My son came along a few months later and when he was about a month old I put him in the ...
