Awkward to use, not click and go!
Review of Tomy Freestyle baby carrier by clab

Advantages: 2 way facing
Disadvantages: Uncomfy, fiddly, expensive

We thought that one of these would come in very handy when our little one arrived, however this carrier was a nightmare to use, we have the click and go version. Firstly it is so difficult to adjust, after only 5mins of wear the adult part digs into the back of your neck, the waist part rides up too high. The baby part looks comfy and for putting the baby into it to face you is straight forward, but trying to put a wriggly baby if facing out is impossible, ...
...itself is very secure once clicked together but taking the baby out again is virtually impossible as you have to slide your hand between the baby and your harness, from between their legs and then find the fiddly clip, by which time there is a stressed out baby and mother!!! It is also difficult to clip the baby harness to the adult harness with the baby in it. Nice idea but doesn't work. It is also quite pricey and friends have much better carriers ... Read review

It looked cool, but my back ached
Review of Tomy Safari Baby Sling by JadensMum

Advantages: looks really lush, can be thrown into the washing machine for cleaning
Disadvantages: makes baby seam heavier, can't be worn for long, the 'D' rings!!

This pack looks really really good, the materials feel really lush and soft, and seams like it would be very comfortable. BUT the amount of slack the head rest /restraint gives for babys head means baby is leaning back away from your body and you soon start to feel the strain, and even start to get that 'pregnancy posture' thing happening by counter balancing. Even when the head rest part is tightened to the tightest setting there is quite a gap ...
...to hold my sons head and sholders closer to me to reduce the forward pull it would create. Also, because baby is leaning away from your body it makes baby seam alot heavier! While most of the way this carrier is put on is really user friendly, the one I had used 'D' rings & domes to fasten the head rest part & the ends were SO difficult to get through the D rings on the carrier you have to turn them on a certain angle and twist it as you push it ... Please don't do it
Review of Tomy Snugli Sling by Louie77

Advantages: Washes well!!
Disadvantages: frightens you senseless

I bought three slings before I found the one I loved a have recommed to anyone and everyone since, which is the baby bjorn, but before that I had one of these and was terrified by it. The reason being was you get you baby into the detachable 'seat' section wrestle the harness part onto your body and then zip each side on the baby onto the harness section alternativly you can assemble the entire thing on you and then try a lower this teeny weeny precious ...
...breakdown at the same time. I then would spent the whole time defeating the purpose of this object by holding my daughter in for two rerasons. I was so terrified the zips would undo, they zip up NOT down major flaw, and she would drop to the floor the other there is not why to adjust the sides sufficently to hold the baby into your chest so they sort of dangle outwards. I didn't us this long enough to get to the age when you can turn the baby to ... Read review

Stretch Limo for babies
Review of Tomy Zanzibar Carrier by molelover

Advantages: Baby feels secure, leaves you hands free
Disadvantages: difficult to get on and off until you get used to it, no buggy tray for the shopping!

...tow! I chose the Tomy Zanzibar because it seemed like a versatile option and it looked really plush and comfortable for baby. You can carry baby three ways - baby facing you (great for small babies, and just like a mobile cuddle for mums), baby facing out (for slightly nosier, older babies who like to see what is going on) or piggy back (fun for babies and Dads!). The Zanzibar comes in cream and coffee colours, which isn't everyone's cup of tea, ...
...the trendiest sling on the market, but then that wasn't my main priority either. After all Leah is just like her mother and doesn't give two hoots about fashion - she only really cares about milk, sleep, and cuddles, and with any luck it might stay like that for a while! It looks like a very comfortable, cosy sling, which is another reason I was attracted to it. It's made of suede and fleece fabric which is nice and soft and very cushioned and padded. ... comfortable to use and great fun for baby
Review of Tomy Verona by rocknrollmom

Advantages: more comfortable for you than a baby bjorn
Disadvantages: not a great deal of support for baby

I found this invaluable when my baby was small, she loved riding in it and it was guaranteed to send her to sleep when nothing else would. If i was at the end of my tether, riding up and down the street on the bus would always calm her down adn i could read a book. It looks a little uncomfortable for her as her head lollops around a bit, but she never complained about this, and always seemed very happy and relaxed, so i think she was fine. The back ...
