Not so safe Clippasafe harness
Review of Clippasafe Standard Baby Harness and Rein by mumagain

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Poor design, breaks easily

...I can not dispute that Clippasafe have produced a quantity of quality safety goods for young children and babies. But when it comes to these I would strongly avoid them and go for something made with stronger materials, such as leather with metal catches. I can not comment on how these perform when it comes to using these for walking a toddler. All I can say is that a child will tug and pull you into every direction but the one you want to go, so ... Window Sox sun shade
Review of Window Sox by alfrescobubbles

Advantages: Fits like a glove (or sox !) and stops every bit of glare
Disadvantages: None found !

...my car because of the window shape on a Galaxy (Sharan or Alhambra). For some cars with more angled windows the velcro would be useful. It only cost £23 for a pair. I must have spent that since the children were born on hopeless sun shades. If you have kids, dogs or don't like sun streaming in the car BUY THIS PRODUCT!! My daughters said it was like travelling in a limo !! ... Read review

Being a Little Explorer
Review of LittleLife Explorer Baby Carrier by Pittypomm

Advantages: Freedom from the Buggy, Very Adjustable
Disadvantages: Hard to try out, Expensive

**************** Littlelife Explorer Child Carrier **************** Child carriers are a nifty little invention which allow you to carry your child around on your back - hopefully in relative comfort. They are very similar to normal backpacks in their variability in cost, size and design. We have always enjoyed walking, usually just long ambles around the English countryside, but occasionally we have tackled mountains as well. We didn't want to ...
...not thank you. **************** Littlelife **************** Littlelife is part of the same company as Lifeventure (who make backpacks, sleeping bags, camping gear and that sort of thing) and Lifesystems (who make first aid kits, mosquito nets and other things to keep you safe when you're off adventuring) so they boast a significant amount of experience in hard wearing materials and carrying technology. They make five different types of baby backpack ... Read review

Hippy chick's a hit!!
Review of Hippy Chick Child Hipseat by blockysbabe

Advantages: Invaluable if your child is heavy or in plaster casts.
Disadvantages: Needs a little more padding for longer walks!

My 11 month old daughter had an operation on her hips and needed to be in plaster for 6 months. She was very heavy and awkward to carry as her legs were bent in the plaster. Even just to walk from the carpark to the supermarket was uncomfortable on our backs. You just can't take a buggy everywhere! As a moving and handling trainer I have plenty of experience in even weight distribution and posture to prevent back problems, so knew that carrying ...
...for our backs. I came accross the hip seat on the STEPS organisation website where other parents of disabled young children had recommended this item. It was something I had to buy as I knew it could make such a difference to our lives at the time. I was very impressed, it worked a dream for me. It was very comfortable to wear, the pressure was taken off my back and evenly distributed. I even had an arm free!! All she needed was an arm round her ... Read review

The best baby 'thing' we've ever bought!
Review of Cosatto Sherpa Baby Carrier by sallysmith1973

Advantages: They can't run away from you!
Disadvantages: They have a tendancy to pull your hair when they're sitting in it!

We initially started to look at baby carriers for our second child, mainly because our first child started school and as we live fairly near to the school, we decided to shun the standard '4 x 4 school run' shenanigans, and walk! " Why not use the buggy?" I hear you cry? Well, not only are the pavements dreadful around where we live, and your arms feel like they're going to fall off by pushing it to the end of the road, through vibration from constant ...
...to hold on to the buggy and walk along side, because we have to pass and cross a very busy road - and they have this tendency to pull on the buggy, you feel like you're pushing 10 stone!!! Also too, I don't know if you've ever noticed, but it tends to rain rather a lot in this country, and it's difficult to push a buggy and hold an umbrella at the same time! We also find when on holiday, it's hard to take a buggy on the beach, sand making it hard ... Read review
