The best milk Advantages: see review Disadvantages: see review When we brought Baby B home from hospital she was being breast fed but we had a tub of formula in the cupboard as a 'just in case'. Mrs B had been too ill to pay much attention to which formula I bought and I'd just picked up Cow and Gate mainly because it was cheaper and I'd heard of it. When we decided to start mix feeding we went for the tub that was in the cupboard and made up a bottle of the formula. This didn't go down well. Nanny milk helped my daughters eczma Advantages: Helped reduced my daughters eczma Disadvantages: It's a bit expensive compared to ordinary baby milks and it can be a bit hard to find in the shops! Nanny goat milk has helped so much with my daughters eczma.Eczma in my daughters case was caused by having a lactose intolerance. i tried several different types of milk including soya but it did not agree with her at all and nothing worked as well as this one.She also found it really easy to digest. It's not for everybody but I think its the best Advantages: free, enables you to bond well with baby, best nutrients etc Disadvantages: not always suitable to feed in public, noone else can feed unless expressed. Even before we had concieved I knew that I wanted to breastfeed my son. I was breastfed as a child and so was my younger sister, we are both healthy adults and I feel we have benefitted from it in the long run. I was asked by many people when I was pregnant if I was going to breastfeed and each time I would say that I wanted to very much so I will start with that and see how me and my baby get on with it and take it from there. I got many comments ... ...ignored, but everyone is entitled to their opinion and I do try and keep that into consideration when feeding my son. I fortunatley had a straightforward birth and was able to get my son latched to breast within 20 minutes of delivery and he fed again and again in hospital. Horlicks for babies Advantages: free from gluten, lactose and cows milk protein Disadvantages: doesn't mix properly, expensive Wysoy is SMA's brand of soya milk for babies who cannot have other formulas for any reason. It is free from lactose, gluten and cow's milk protein and is made from natural soya. It is also suitable from birth but is recommended to only be given to babies on medical advice. My daughter was prescribed wysoy at 5 months old as she had an intolerance to lactose. At first I was very worried as I had heard that soya milk wasn't good for babies. But after ... ...was best for my little girl. The first thing that struck me about Wysoy was the pretty colour of the tin. It has a green coloured lid and has a cute little rabbit on the front. Which I thought was pleasent compared to the blue and red of usual milk ranges. The powder itself seems slightly darker in colour to normal formula milks and has a strong smell of Horlicks to it.
