The best milk
Advantages: see review Disadvantages: see review
When we brought Baby B home from hospital she was being breast fed but we had a tub of formula in the cupboard as a 'just in case'. Mrs B had been too ill to pay much attention to which formula I bought and I'd just picked up Cow and Gate mainly because it was cheaper and I'd heard of it.
When we decided to start mix feeding we went for the tub that was in the cupboard and made up a bottle of the formula. This didn't go down well. Baby B was extremely ... ...we spoke to some friends who advised us to try Aptamil (for some reason this product is spelt on ciao incorrectly) as Cow and Gate is often too rich and Aptamil is seen as the 'porche of the formula world'. The tub
When we came across Aptamil in the baby food section of our local supermarket the first thing we noticed was that it was more expensive than the other milks, only by a pound but I am sure this would soon add up if your baby was ...

My LO is happy again!
Advantages: Everything! My baby is now happy and content. Disadvantages: None. I love it!
...desperate for her. I researched Hipp Infant Milk online and thought it was worth a go as most people rated it highly. This is quite possibly the best thing I could have ever done for her! Within a day or 2 her nappies were much more pleasant in all aspects, she was no longer straining or pulling her legs up, no longer sick after being fed, settled so much easier and seemed much happier all round. The milk powder looks very different to Cow and Gate ... ...and Gate and gave her Hipp during that night. The following day she had diahhorea again and was still unsettled, however, by the end of the day these symptoms had gone. I'm thoroughly impressed with Hipp Infant Milk and I'm so glad that we tried it as it suits my LO perfectly. Feeding time no longer feels like a chore. I have now bought the Hipp Milk for hungrier babies which we will try at bedtime and overnight, but I feel quite confident it will ...

...mine from Asda. The Heinz 3 Cheese Sauce is perfect as its specially made for babies so has no added salt (only natural salts found in cheese). There is also no other artificial colourings or flavours. It is a smooth cheesy sauce made with Cheddar, cream and paresman cheese. Home Made Cooking In A Jar
Advantages: Taste and looks good Disadvantages: Gets watery after being in the fridge
I changed over from Cow and Gate to Heinz Mum's Own Recipe as it's a cheaper brand but also looks and tastes a lot nicer so my daughter was always keen to try it. I purchase mine from Asda where they sell a large variety of different flavours for approx 70p but always appear to be in special offers e.g. 9 for £5. This product has a combination of pork, carrots, potatoes, sweetcorn and apple juice. It tailored to suit babies from seven months (stage ... ...for your baby. The other reason I prefer this product as everything you would want know about the product is written in clear language that everyone can understand, no jargon! This jar counts as one of your babies vegetable portions. There are no added preservatives or artificial flavouring or colours. It also states that it provides a source of iron so help build up babies natural defence. I like to taste the food before giving it to Madi, I think ...

My hippy chick nine year old hooked on Hipp fruit!
Advantages: You know what you're getting and its goodness Disadvantages: Pricey
...I have an experienc of Hipp baby food to share nonetheless: My lovely nine year old daughter recently succumbed to a violent stomach migraine which after four days and nights of hourly vomiting, left her in hospital on re-hydration and all kinds of other fancy drip-ware. I'll spare you the full sob story as you are really here, I assume, to read about baby food, but just to put my review in context: my little girl (Bee for short!) lost a great deal ... ...a reflex gag in Bee. Hipp suggest that when your little one is ready you can mix the puree with a little baby rice "for a more adventurous meal"! In this way you can develop the texture gradually and prepare for the next stage of more lumpy fare. (After all school dinners will be lumpy enough - better get used to it!!) This is a stage one baby food - the Hipp website has a handy table of products for each gradiated stage of weaning http://www.hipp.co.uk/products/stage-1-for-start-of-weaning/jars/apple-and-banana-puree ...
