Numi Extending Safety Gate - great but some teething problems

Advantages: Robust, discreet when open, easy to use and adjust, look good
Disadvantages: gate runners will not slide into mount when screws are in place, beware of dado rails

Ha, you can't open this one!

Advantages: Good quality, easy to fit, extension available, opens with one hand
Disadvantages: Bar across the bottom is a trip hazard, sometimes bangs into place when it closes
